I may take you up on that. I have a decent collection built up but it is still pretty small. That is very generous of you, thank you.

Lol no way. 2010 and 2012 were absolutely classic years. Title decided at the last race, both times in super dramatic fashion. Like 4 teams had a shot at the WDC in both those years. Even in 2011 and a lesser extent 2013 we didn't see anywhere near the domination MB has enjoyed.

Weird take. 2000 and 2003 were very hard fought title battles. I hold 2000 as one of the most exquisite seasons in F1 history. McLaren (in a better car than Ferrari I might add) trying to the triple only to have Schumacher bring Ferrari back under absolutely immense pressure. If you didn't enjoy that then you should check your pulse. 2003, same deal, the Williams and McLaren were quicker and the title was decided at the last race. There was still lots of driver talent on the grid in 1994/95 so not sure what you're talking about there and any lack of it was mitigated by the fact that MSC was always fighting a superior Williams. He was already handily beating Senna in the standings when Senna died, and he had already beaten Senna on points in 1992 in his first F1 season, so that was no big deal even long before he reached the peak of his talents (1998-2002).

Not really at all. Hamilton gets flak because he dresses and acts like a clown and brings a lot of the criticism on himself. We used to have Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill, now we have an instagram personality with a nose ring. Lol. Yikes.

Something tells me you're still bitter about MSC destroying everyone for 15 years.

Apparently, his off-track lifestyle rubs a few people the wrong way. Also, being a clever enough chap to find the right car at the right time somehow denigrates his massive accomplishments behind the wheel of an F1 car.

    Go figure . . . .

Well yes agreed, it must be his off track antic's , otherwise it doesn't really say a lot about the rest of the drivers.

Not much really..he's a pretty decent driver, i would easily put him between the top 30 and top 20 of all time and currently on the top 5 on the grid.
The fact that he dresses like a couch, cheats sometimes, and his general atittude make him look like an ass...other than that, i can't sai much...

Funny how that goes. I've always said only the best drivers get the best cars. It only makes sense. In addition it is part of the F1 driver skill set to find the right car at the right time. Something Alesi didn't figure out.

In your dreams only!!! Hamilton would have to do a lot of amazing stuff in his remaining years to enter the top 20 of all time!!! and i'm being generous because of his 2 championships, otherwise he would be outside teh to 30.
As for current grid, it depends how you see it, if you consider current drivers in their best years, then Kimi and Massa are above Elton, if we consider Kubica, he's also better than him, as for the current ones, i belieev Ricci to be better than him, and Max will be even better if he manages to make less mistakes...and i believe Hulkenberg is at least as good as him...

Current grid top 4: Hamilton, Seb, Alonso and Max

As for the GOAT list: With 3 WDCs he is placed between 5th and 10th. Given that he leads with most poles he could easily be seen as 5th. If he wins another title he will be 4th whether you like/accept that or not. If Seb wins the title he'll be #3 or #2 (depends on other stats).

Each F1 champion has been no more or less than the best driver in his time in the cars of his time. Hamilton came up with all the power of McLaren behind him. Then he fell into a long dry spell. But the truth is, when he is on form he is a hell of a driver...one of the best. As have been most of the champions. Schumacher had a long dry spell. As has Alonzo and did Prost and now Vettel. Those who are truly lessor drivers are much easier to spot. Weber Massa Irving Hulkenberg, Grosjean Perez Baricello Rossberg (both of them) etc. I think Mercedes is beating Ferrari this season on the shoulders of Hamilton...just as I think Vettel might lose the championship this year because Ferrari could let him down. History seems to show that the Germans have a stronger work ethic than the Italians. Not just in F1 but in their entire economies. Nothing about Hamilton inspires my loyalty to him. However I also have to admit that he is a hell of a race driver.

Wdc can mean a lot and can mean nothing....Damon has got one he he probably wasn't in the top 10 best drivers when he made it!! Hamilton won 2 (the first one was a complete farse and he didn't win it..it was given to him) with a car that could run rings around the rest of the field and a teram mate that had a leash on by his team....not very impressive.

You can luck into one WDC as Rosberg Sr and Jr have proven (and honestly that still needs some serious driving ability) but you can't luck into being a multiple WDC.

Keke might have won it with a lot of luck, but he won it against what was probably the best f.1 grid of all times, and he was a far better driver than Elton will ever be.
AS for Nico, i concede Elton is a bit faster, but if you would put them in diferent teams, with the same car to develop (when that was still done by drivers) i would definitly put my money on him over Elton....and let's not forget, Elton needed the teams backing to beat him.
