I can confirm, yesterday I was checking Fchat at home and I got an Interpol Stop page using Telstra. Thought it was my PC, but the link was genuine, checked my phone and it also was blocked there. I reported to Interpol it was a mistake. I too have to use 4G at home to access this. But I mostly check Fchat at works so no biggie.
How does someone get this slapped on fchat anyway?? It's posted as fact. Does no one check this stuff?? "Your browser has tried to contact a domain that is distributing child sexual abuse material. Access to this domain has been blocked by your Access Service Provider in co-operation with INTERPOL."
No, I could just as easily call Telstra and say that I am going to a child porn site on my mobile and it would get locked just like the ADSL network is
but if it's a SITE that's reported, why isn't it automatically locked off all networks? And yes "Telstra Logic" is a perfectly acceptable answer
It may have a different gateway to the internet which is controlled by a different section Actually I could prove this by doing a traceroute on my phone and comparing it to a traceroute on my DSL connected PC but I'm too lazy

Yeah. He thinks he's helpful! I worked it out and it works, but you have to do it for every device, on every connection, which is tedious.
Yeah got it working as well, Everything in my house is running through wifi so all l did was change the Primary and Seconday DNS to the ones that Tony stated on my modem/router and router and it works a charm for now..
It's not the only solution. No problems at all on Optus. Telstra are a joke. I think you'd be well within your rights to "break" a contract in these circumstances.

Rob thank you so much with you patience and assistance. As you can see with Telstra response nothing happens fast, and I would follow up on the 19 th if nothing happens as it's liable to be forgotten, as every Australian will tell you reliability isn't their forte.
Hi Rob, l just got off the phone with another moron from Telstra who told me that Interpol had blocked the site for reasons that the website contained child pornographic material,, l then proceeded to tell her that a) being that she notified me at the beginning of our conversation that our telephone conversation was being recorded,l thought she should think twice about making accusations on such matters without proof and.. b) it wasn't Interpol that has blocked the site as the site can be accessed via other internet service providers as well as on their own Telstra 4g network,so in fact it was the Telstra cable internet service that has blocked access to the site on advice,wrongful as it may be,from lnterpol.. She then backtracked quickly and agreed with my statement.. Then she told me that a possible solution would be to replace my modem as it may be faulty,,she even said this admitting to me that l wasn't the first person to contact Telstra about this problem.. So l told her how was it possible that everyone that has contacted you about this issue all of a sudden have faulty modems at the same time?? And the fault in my modern is only showing as a fault when l try and access Ferrarichat.com?? lt was then that l came to the understanding that l was indeed dealing with a person that had the intelligence of an illiterate chicken,, So l've accepted the free newer model modem to shut her up.. and told her that she would be hearing back from me if the problem isn't fixed by the modem solution..
Moretti reckons changing the IP address will solve the issue. I ended up purchasing a VPN program, and am using this instead. I couldn't be stuffed waiting for Telstra to sort their mess out.
Start dialling Don Maurizio They are literally idiots when you call the Philippines re networking issues, no idea what the REAL problem is. Speedy was right, and I should have tried it earlier, jumping on the router and changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8 will fix the problem because Telstra don't control it !!! Someone has called them and said that fchat is dealing in kiddie porn and TELSTRA blocked it, not Interpol. All they need to do is go to the blacklist and remove fchat from that database but they haven't done their due diligence re the site
1. I am right , and it was speedy that picked it up .... change the DNS IP to 8.8.8.8 2. You can get a free VPN from google and it takes 3 mins to configure it on your PC and they give you the username/password plus KEY (very important for the L2TP option which is the best option)
Well good old Telstra, called me to "help" sort out this access issue and ask me for my name/birthday/address, then tell me that the birth date I've given them is wrong .... like ok, what is my birth date then ? Something months off, but my name and address are right So there's another dickhead living here with the same name ..... he better start paying rent So , this woman who , has my mobile number, my ADSL account number, AND has been sending me emails suddenly doubts I am who I say I am FFS how silly can people be ??!! So I tell her that it is ONLY people using Telstra terrestrial broadband that are affected but the mobile internet works (this has got her confused ) I also tell her that the website owner is starting litigation against Telstra and as a shareholder I hope the recorded phone conversations between her and I get played in court (it WILL make Telstra look stupid when they had the chance to correct the situation but ****ed me around asking for my license and some other documentation to prove who I am ) So she says what can I do, so I give her an action plan : 1. get to her direct manager and relay the information I have given her 2. that manager needs to get hold of the relevant tech that so easily blacklisted fchat and see what due diligence they did before they locked the URL to the Interpol message 3. If they don't know where to go to get this sorted then I'll email the Telstra exec that I know very well and tell her the facts and SHE WILL sort it, she's one of the best managers I've ever worked for and a lovely lady to boot The saga continues
