Hi! Just lowered my 458 15mm and put 20mm spacers in the back. I think the result is a BIG difference. Everyone should do this mod!! This is the spacers I bought, they also sent me longer bolts: http://www.ebay.de/itm/SCC-Wheel-Spacers-20mm-13401BS-for-Ferrari-458-Italia-458-Spider-488-GTB-599-GTB-/381849210725?hash=item58e7fc8f65:g:LJAAAOSw241YfUnN
I always run the Novitec spacers, but I have heard great things about the Hill Engineering kits too. I wouldn't do anything less than 10mm - my recommendation is the 15mm around, or 20 rear. They really space the wheels out nicely, and don't add a bunch of stress to the hubs.
I added the 20mm Novitec spacers to my Italia (purchased from Fabspeed - thanks Travis!!) and absolutely love them. If you do lower your car, the spacers are an absolute must.
I didn´t want to put any spacers in the front because of the front wheels stirring up stones and other stuff on the car. Look at my attached pictures for what I already have wash of sometimes!!
Here is a set of the Novitec spacers that we supplied and installed. It looks amazing! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I do get why people use spacers but it does feel a bit "Pimp my ride" I'm not sure of the engineering Integrity of them either... FWIW my view is either stay stock or have custom offset rims made Regards Michael
The old saying goes "To each their own." That said, we are a fan. It is a great way to increase track width during the decision making point for a set of wheels. The integrity of the Novitec set has been phenomenal. Their R and D is next to none!
Not sure how much R&D is actually involved since the Novitec spacers are just rebranded Eibach parts. But I do have them on my scud and haven't had any issues.
You are correct in that they are manufactured under a Private Label for Novitec, however it is using their specifications. They are TUV approved including the matching factory bolts.
Hey interested in a 15/20 setup for my 458 spider. Pls email quote to [email protected] ty. Black Friday sale? Also want to make sure I have matching lugs
I have a set of Novitech spacers that have only been on my 488 for less then 100 miles for sale, practically new. 15mm front and 20mm rears
On my 458 Spider I did 10 in front and 15 in back with Ferrari standard wheels....look perfect in my opinion. Longer wheel bold were required in front and standard length in back. No alignment nessasary.
I had Novitec spacers at the rear, I also had to change a rearwheel bearing at 30000 miles, I now have a new wheel bearing and no more spacers. Just be aware that installing spacers will put more load on the bearings and they are quite price as the whole hub needs to be replaced. my 2 cents here, don't fit spacers.
20mm rears and 15mm front Novitec spacers would be your best bang for your buck. Gives a very aggressive look while keeping safety in mind. I would not cheap out on spacers.
Incoming 488 GTB in May. Love the look of a lowered 488 with the tires out by the fenders. My GT3 came from factory like this. The downside to this look is how much road grit and debris gets kicked up on the side of the car’s body. I fully wrap all my cars with protective film, but the peppering on the film is remarkable.
I had spacers on a 360 years ago without any problems. Car looked great and good on track also. My insurer said unless I removed them, the car would not be covered as illegal in Australia.
Thanx ... good to share with us Andrew ! Also in some EU countries, you may not just change parts on cars without consent of the Ministry of Transport ...
When we read latest postings of people here who still "want/need" spacers I must conclude then that people here do not read your (good) advice Jaap
