FerrariChat.com update - Questions

Android mobile access all kinds of messed up, will not log in, security risk issues. Have to request desktop version, security risk notification crashes chrome. Not sure what changed... Why the security risk? Both mobile and pc in both chrome and Firefox have flag warnings about the site being unsafe.

 

Just flipped back over to 'new' and am impressed with the improvement! I'm going to keep flipping for a while longer and see where I stick...

Are you still having trouble with this? I had same issue on desktop, but it was fixed after closing browser and trying again. Might be cookie related?

Not sure, I will add to list and ask developers

 

Just logged in via mobile, so what ever was the issue seems to be resolved now. I'll let you know if anything changes. It kicked me out mid session yesterday. Restarting the browser didn't work, I had to request the desktop site to log in, but then that caused the security issue and crash. Restart then try again, still no log in on mobile site, request desktop, ignore non secure warning and log in worked, that was last night. Today it's back to normal.

 

Good question. I do not see one but we may be able to add something like that in the future. As for not liking the new format, have you tried switching to old style?

 

The 5 minute time limit for editing a post is way too short (especially for longer technical posts) -- can you please increase it to at least 20 minutes (and 1 hour would be better IMO)?

That one is already on the list. I know it's adjustable, from the other site, but may not be the highest priority at the moment with a lot of other fish to fry..

I think there is good reason for a shorter limit of the edit function...

some people - especially in controversial discussions - tend to change their original posting even after several responses -
in the end the whole thread doesn`t make sense any longer since the references are erased

I made the experience in other forums ... and this one will be no exeption, think of political threads

but 10/15min would be nice anyway

 

Arguably the political section shouldn't dictate what else happens on a Ferrari-discussion site.

 

i do not believe so. there are quite a few threads on this topic. hopefully they'll listen to feedback and iron out the bugs

 

Look down at the far right corner. there is a box that says "new" If you click it a window will pop up asking if you want the old format

 

Yes the old style new page is now back to full width on the screen. That changed yesterday after the 60/40 split screen created numerous negative comments.

 

I chose the old style too! You can tell how old I must be by how much I hated the new look...

 

not a fan of the new layout look..... I also switched back to the old layout

 

Tapatalk doesn't work and I view this forum on my iPad or phone so it's inconvenient to use the web browser

Can Rosso subscribed accounts upload an image(via imbb host) to signatures? Feature pops up but does not populate.

Just fixed it. I was trying to prevent users from trying words like "stupidas s" instead I just put that full word into filter

is there not a way to report individual posts? I tried to find it to report that issue, to no avail.

 

This has probably been asked before but I am too Lazy to read through this thread:

1. How do I revert back to the old "skin" (with the blue and grey colors?)
2. How do I clear all posts as "read"? After the update, every post since the beginning of Fchat is marked as "new". I want to reset.
