456 schedoni luggage exchange

i have a set of 456gt luggage, that i used many times when i had my 456mgt.
but i sold that car, and now, i have bought the 456mgta for my mother.
so i need a set of 456gta luggage.

they are different in that the gt set has a bag that is ovoid in shape that fits in the 'wheel well' that does not exist in the gta because that space is taken up by the automatic transmission. and the gta has a couple of extra small bags to make up the difference in volume, that fit on the side.

anyway, what i want to do is sell my 456gt set and buy a 456gta set (i think the M set is the same in both cases).

anybody need or have either?

Asgor, got your message. Been running around all day. Will get back with pics. But I won't sell my set without identifying a replacement set that fits the 456mgta

BTW, the 456GT and 456GTA sets were the same, less the case the fits in the spare wheel well, which isn't there on the GTA. The smaller shoe/make up case was the same in each car, and only 1 was able to be fitted in the trunk, as the CD stacker/stereo occupied the LHS of the trunk space.

 

if that is the case (no pun intended ), then i think i will just keep what i have.

I would have to check my photos, but I think the later ones had "456M" or "456M GT" engraved on the locks.

But it could be it was just "456 GT" like it was in ca. 1996,

I have an early 1995 456 GT and those had sets with "456 GT" embossed on the leather, regardless if it was a set for GT or GTA, the only difference back then being the already mentioned absence of the "suit bag" with coat hangers that fits under the floor in the spare wheel well on the cars with manual 6-sp gearbox. If I find good photos, I will post some once I'm back on my laptop.

No. The 456MGT and MGTA were completely different to the 456GT/GTA. The M version was produced by SCHEDONI as well, but looked nothing like the earlier model. And yes, the early 456GT/GTA had the model embossed into the leather, the later had it engraved on the clasps.
