Ferrari overload all last weekend and now more fun with the Challenge cars! Certainly the perfect time to be at Maranello. Thank you for sharing your adventures here.

    Justin excuse my curiosity
Hi Justin not a bad place to be and certainly that's not everyone's privilege. I like the pictures and I wonder if the bush and the miniature hiding the 812 rear were put there on purpose LOL

Does anyone know (for sure) the colour of the 812 at Frankfurt motor show.

812 shown after about 30 seconds.

If I was there i'd open the bonnet and check. Just wonder if anyone here has been and can confirm?

I know it's under very bright light but it looks too light for Grigio Silverstone. Possibly Grigio Ferro, but doesn't seem to have have the blue element of Grigio Titanio?

The CEO of my dealer - just coming from Frankfurt - told me it's grigio titanio.

I was told the color is called "Grigio Taylor Made".
I saw the car in person yesterday evening. Great color, great car. Similar to Grigio Titanio in my mind.

These are iPhone pics. The colour is definitely not Silverstone, it is closer to Titanio (and I had assumed it was that) but if it is a new colour (someone said a Taylor Made colour) that could be correct. It was a little shinier than Titanio, though show lights make judgement difficult. I doubt it is three layer strongly.

One thing I did wonder, since I am planning to do a TM on my 812 and might consider grey with some 'adjustments', was the sense in putting silver wheels with a Titanio type exterior. Wondering what people's feelings about that are?

My head is currently at CDF but the Frankfurt car has got me thinking. My first Ferrari was a used 360 in Titanio and I went off the colour. Somehow felt too dull but the Frankfurt car did look great. Showlights perhaps?

Thanks for the replies. I really like the Frankfurt 812 colour and will try and find out what it is.

If it is a new Grigio Titanio without the blue element I'd seriously consider it. I think it looks great.

It also makes me think about Ferro but there are now countless shades of grey so I'm not sure...

The 812 at Frankfurt IAA is a Tailor Made car. The color is a triple layer grey called Grigio Coburn, the same color that is on my Tailor Made F12Tdf. Like many of the tri-layer paints, the color changes dramatically depending on the lighting, ranging from gunmetal in low or indirect lighting, to silver-grey in direct or intense lighting. I would say depending on lighting it's somewhere between Grigio Ferro and Titanio. Due to my schedule and work being done to my Tdf, I won't be able to post pictures for a couple of weeks, but I will once I have time to take some proper pictures. For those interested in inquiring about using this color the paint code is 64077044.

Interestingly, the Portofino was in a similar colour, I asked if it was Ferro and was told it was GT. not like any GT I had seen before, and I used to own one.

Thank you for that valuable info. I look forward to seeing pics of your Tdf. It may be the ultimate colour for me but a shame it's 3-layer (cost!). I wonder if a two layer version would be available?

This 812 was parked this morning outside a golf club where I go and has the Portuguese plate number from September 2017. Can anyone please tell me if Ferrari has already started delivering cars in Europe to private customers

    Nice ZX estate :)
There were a few 812 taking part to the 70th anniversary rally to Maranello, I guess there have been already some deliveries. At least in France I do not think dealers buy cars, they get a few from the factory (temporary) so that locally registered cars are actual customers cars.
It seems Ferrari is managing the different markets differently, for instance at the 70th anniversary event in Le Castellet in France there was only a 812 on display and none for road test, whereas apparently there were some 812 for road tests in Germany.
