There are arguments both ways on the subject:

These are supposed to be the best drivers in the World, so they should be able to cope with wet conditions.

But, wet starts seriously risk loosing a large number of cars out of the race, spoiling the entire event (think of Spa in '98 when one slip by Coulthard wiped out over half the field. Had they not had T-cars that year, the race would have been s:censored:t, with around 8 cars left running!)

Would have expected DR to push LH this race with that Red Bull.

I'm glad I didn't have breakfast before the start of the race, because I may have hurled after the first 30 seconds....

For the first time ever, I seriously considered turning the race off as the result is inevitable, and the WDC and WCC almost as certain...

Yep. Red Bull was posting impressive race pace in FP2. Maybe it's more nervous in the wet...

The problem was reduced because you didn't end up watching an hour and three quarters of 8 cars stretched out over the entire Spa circuit, with everyone else out of the race - Most of those who crashed jumped into the spare car for the re-start, so you still had pretty much a full field racing.

Had there been no spare cars allowed (as is the case now), then the race would have been pretty cr:censored: p!

C'mon then - What did Kimi do wrong at the start?

He made an incredible start - Much faster than Max or Seb, came up the inside of Max and then got collected by Max due to Seb squeezing across on Max.

The only thing Kimi is guilty of, is making a fantastic start!
