I will. Even though I don't give a ****, I'm going to vote no precisely because of the behaviour in that article, and because of Labor and the Greens' breathtaking hypocrisy.

I would have voted yes in February, but not now.

If I wasn't voting no after the bevhavior of the yes camp I am definitely voting No.
If they were to even mention the Nazi word in Germany they would be arrested. Last week I did a guided tour of the Sachenhausen concentration camp out side Berlin, to accuse some one of being a Nazi should be an arrestable offence in Australia. The abominations they committed, besides the
watered down PC versions of what happened in the camps, arn't repeatable here and accusations of that nature has no place anywhere.

If car is not shipped to me this week, my son and I will collect it on the weekend and drive it back via Merimbula

oops! Just need to clarify I was agreeing with you regarding the stupidity of the argument BUT I wouldn't let those idiots affect my vote (wonder if they're even people who would be affected?). The change in law is necessary to ensure gay partners have the right to make medical/ funeral decisions for their partner in the case of disability or death, and also regarding inheritances in the case of people who die intestate. Some people whose partners are estranged from their blood families suffer terribly in these situations as they have zero rights.
These 2 points of law are really the only things that matter - everything else is diversionary.

People were defending those at the right wing rally in the USA as not all being Nazis, white supremacists etc, and right now they need to remember that the left isn't one big homogenous group either.

The actions of idiots shouldn't sway you away from freedom and equality for others.

    Fair point.

But it's not just these idiots. I'm sick of being told what to think about everything. Whether it's the media, or some idiot celebrity, or just some random wanker on twitter. Even big companies are trying to tell people what to do.
I'm fed up wth it. People are entitled to vote however they like and shouldn't be howled down and assaulted just for having a different view.

The morons in that link are the extreme, for sure, but there are many more "moderate" people who are just as intolerant.

FWIW my vote changed the moment Labor and The Greens blocked the February plebiscite.

I just got the form and I'm disappointed, I thought it was about whether you wanted to be gay like Carl and still be married :(

There's an interesting idea that I'm going to steal without credit, mainly because I don't know who said it first.

One of the biggest problems with progressive people and cultures (and this is both sides of politics, I'm not using progressive to describe the left necessarily), is that when they move on they find it impossible to understand how people are behind them and tend to look down on them.

We are literally only a generation or two (or three) away from when we considered aboriginal people fauna, when white Australia policy was accepted, when gay people literally couldn't even be public in their love etc, yet we act shocked that there are still cultures where women are subjugated, where gay people are threatened with violence etc.

Basically an attitude of "I'm enlightened, why aren't you as smart as me?", ignoring that the enlightenment for recent and hard fought.

I'll not forget the ABC show Q&A, with to extremist groups. The audience was all made up of the LGBT group and Fred Nyle in the chair, I actually felt for Fred's safety, What circus in the full meaning if of the word.
