We will see man. I am leaning towards GGG battering Canelo over the course of the fight and possibly scoring a KO. But...............Canelo is more skillful of the two so he will put up a great fight and may take the win on points. I don't think he has the power to KO GGG, but he can win it on points for sure. I am actually hoping for a draw, I put down $100 on that for a $2100 return. Hehe
Pap I like that new feature you used. the little "like" button. I'll be using that often. Thank you for making me aware of it.
Unbelievable. ....nice catch on the draw!!...But we all know what the right decision should of been ..118-110?? Shame because I would actually like to see a rematch if Canelo lost ..Now, no way Jose ...
I just watched Billy Joe Saunders beat Willie Monroe Jr over in the UK. Went 12 rounds, was an average fight. Billy looked better than he did last fight, December last year. But he is still not in the same league as Canelo or GGG. But he wants to fight the winner of the Canelo VS GGG fight and they want to make it happen in December. Don't see it happening anytime soon, perhaps early next year. Would be good to see GGG win today, then fight Billy Joe and take the WBO Middleweight title he has been holding hostage.
Yes lads, Pappy had a win today. But I wish GGG was the one that had the win today. I would happily give that $2100 back if he was awarded a points victory. He didn't score the KO obviously, but I think he did just enough to win on points, especially in the later rounds. All good and I actually hope he doesn't give Canelo the rematch *not that he has to* and he takes the Billy Joe fight in December and KO's that fool to win that belt to become the undefeated, undisputed Middle Weight champ of the world. Then...........retire on top of his game. Undefeated, undisputed Middle Weight champion of the world with a 90%+ KO record.
And yeah, WTF was that 118-110 score card for Canelo? They need to sack that idiot and take his boxing judging licence!
Check this out....... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/boxing/2017/09/17/federal-offence-judge-adelaide-byrd-fire-ggg-canelo-scorecard/
Typical Las Vegas corruption with GGG v. Canelo. GGG had him on the ropes all night backing away, threw and landed far more punches. That judge scored it way out, which is typical for this lady which is in sure why de la Hoya insisted she be there. Laughable result with a draw. Even the crowd boo'd the decision in a big way. Glad GGG is classy enough to not balk, at least publicly. That all said, canelo looked the best he ever has against a good fighter, far better than he was against anyone to date.
Yeah man, did you see the official score cards? GGG did more work and I thought he won the fight by at least one round. Again, a little disappointing that it was a draw but it's done now and we will see what happens next.
Adelaide has no business judging boxing. Her work is consistently all over the place. Nevada gaming commission publicly apologized for her work on this fight. I have no doubt De La Hoya had a lot to do with her incredible scoring. There is no way he was going to allow his boy to properly lose. Most everyone on the planet, including many other judges, had it 8-4 or 7-5 GGG. Lots of controversy to come on this, but I am not shocked at the number of other boxers, judges, and fans in general who are propelry floored by this farce. Here we had the match we all wanted and the old corrupt boxing business had to rear its head. De La Hoya is doing this to hype the rematch as an even bigger deal, but I doubt the rematch will happen as it will have to be on GGG's terms this time, which team Canelo will never agree to. Sad
Golovkin showed the world that he's no hype job like many said he was. Many critics said he was exposed by Brook. The REAL hype job is Canelo, who has been fighting old and/or smaller fighters like Josesito Lopez, Glass Joe Khan, Liam Smith, etc.. Technically, Golovkin should be Lineal Middleweight Champion right now if it weren't for this corruptness. Even the majority Mexican crowd at the stadium were booing Canelo and cheering Golovkin. All over social media you see the same thing. I say GGG should move on and beat Saunders to became undisputed middleweight champion and only face Canelo under his terms, not Golden Boy.
Yep, agree with what both of you guys are saying. What she did was a disgrace and it's hard to believe they keep letting her get away with it. I hope GGG forgets about Canelo and the pay and moves onto Billy Joe. That fight will more than likely end in a KO, so no need to worry about it going to the dodgey judges lol.
Spot on all points. Every major boxer and judge out there are making videos outraged by this, the shock is many of them were calling Canelo to win the fight until the saw the fight with Canelo running and on the ropes all night, not to mention GGG just could not be hurt by this guy, nor anyone else, nor could Canelo control the ring. GGG couldn't get a really good right hand in all night, but Canelo was stunned plenty of times with everything else not to mention GGG landed some 50-60 more punches than Canelo. The entire arena turned on Canelo at the announcement in an epic showing of fan sportsmanship. It is an absolutely absurd boxing world we are forced to deal with. At least everyone full-well knows GGG prevailed 8-4 or at best 7-5 in an epic controlled battle, I have heard no positions to the contrary. De La Hoya is officially every bit as corrupt and shady as Don King now, I think we can call him the new Don King. I have to wonder how much Adelaide and the others were paid to favor Canelo. There was no way he was going to let his boy outright lose, draw was the best he could live with in hopes he could hype the rematch to end all rematches. I agree there is no sense in it happening unless it were to happen say in Russia under GGG's full terms which De La Hoya would never agree to.
Confirmed today. Judge Adelaide Byrd benched /sidelined by the Nevada gaming commission due to performance issues in GGG v Canelo fight. A formal inquiry should be made and it should be properly investigated. Something serious happened.....
This might be a good time for me to quote a certain client of mine (Ferrari F40 chassis number 88251), one 'Big' George Foreman, who uttered the immortal solution to scorecard woes: "Sure the fight was fixed, I fixed it with a right hand". Carry on gentlemen.
