Happy to share....these cars looked the same as they did the day they rolled out of the showroom.

Likely even better. That's kind of how he rolls. He likes perfection. Some don't really like that. I do.

These are 2 of his cars at the 1986 FCA National at the PGA in West Palm Beach just after leaving restoration in Greensboro, NC. The third is his 61 TR was actually just flown in after it was acquired in Europe from (Count Volti's ?) Collection

I hear when people complain that his cars are "over restored", but I don't know how you can have issue with that collection. The are stunning, and the way he displays his collection is remarkable.

No, didn’t want to risk getting yelled at for getting too close to the cars.

Hey, love those photos. Do you have more photos of 0792 TR (the 61 TR)? Would love to see more of that car.

No such thing as "perfection". This is just what RL believes "perfection" is, for better or for worse...

This is what 2167GT looked like in 1962 (Coupe de Bruxelles race) when owned by Günther Lohsträter. Note that it is NOT originally a covered headlight version, nor it had side vents etc. So, should RL's car be brought back to its original state?

Again 2167GT from the same race, this time viewed from the rear... Note the differences from its current form...

Could 2167GT have been converted to covered headlights with side vents by Ferrari/Scaglietti?

The conversion of 2167 GT to covered headlights and side vents happened in 1967 before the car sold to the next owner in France. Not by the factory.

What a great Collection of historical important Ferraris. RL has really collected during the past decades one of the most unique and fascinating "best of" of the brand. Maybe just my personal opinion, but I would enjoy the pics even more if the cars where not painted "just regular red" but in the original livery they first appeard.

The 250 GTO is a nice example of that....

RL purchased 0792 in March 1985 from Count Giovanni Volpi di Misurata (via Stanley Nowak) and paid US$ 450 K.

To reference Haute Couture, modifying the cars to his tastes is like taking an important but damaged vintage Chanel couture dress and restoring it, not to what it was, but to RL's own liking...
