Went to LFSC with my wife yesterday to look and test drive the Lusso. My wife drove it , since it is her who is looking for a new car and in just 100 yards after pulling out from the dealership, she blurted: I WANT THIS CAR!. Incredible combo of comfort, performance and practicality in one package, the noise is still there just a bit more subdued so it makes it more suitable for a daily use without aggravating others. Fit and finish is excellent, I don't know of anything else on the market that can compete with that car. It is also probably the only 2 door where I can fit in the back (6'4", 220lbs). She is ordering Avorio with Crema for Spring delivery and it is going to be her only car.
Blimey, Cream over Cream. That'll be a cream overload. Testa Di Moro would go lovely with Avorio, it would be like a white chocolate outside with a milk chocolate centre!
I agree, ultimately it is her choice though. Thankfully we have time until December to finalize the specs and she is not 100% firm on Avorio (extra $12600 on top of it). She is adamant on not having the shields though.
Was the test model a V12 and if so can you still order a V12 version? I thought only the first four hundred and something imported could be V12 versions and after that only V8 models were coming to the USA. Something about CAFE standards... Was the Lusso test model black on black or?
She is ordering a V12 because of Chicago Winter. The car we test drove was TDF (not 100% sure) with Cuio leather.
What is the advantage of the v12 and Chicago winter? I missed something Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for sharing those details! The local dealer got a black Lusso but I am always partial to blue cars.
We get snow, a lot of snow. It gets cold here too, really, really cold, like 20F below cold at times. V12 is AWD, V8 is not.
In that case the awd makes total sense lol Im not sure i would be brave enough to get my ferrari out in the snow though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Michelin Alpin's and you are good to go. Let's go..... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
She is an old amateur entry rally driver (used to compete in a Celica Alltrack back in 1989), not afraid of snow and not afraid for the car either, "just a fast and a bit more expensive but still just a car", she says.
Thats a cool wife) mine is more into the comfort of her s class and doesn't appreciate the smells coming from my testarossa flat 12 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lucky man. Tried to get my wife to like the FF and then the Lusso but failed. Last time she drove one of our F cars we were getting passed by smart cars so her driving style is probably not suited for them.
I'm afraid of the opposite, she floored the Lusso on the test drive and we got to 120 in no time, instant arrest in Illinois. I'm spending enough on my attorney already as it is, don't need to make it any worse. I will have to install the complete system, Escort 360 with iphone monitoring (talks to other detectors in vicinity) and front and back laser jammers.
Haha. We couldn’t have more opposite of a situation. That’s great. Not the tickets but the driving . Sounds like she will really enjoy the cars true potential.
That's awesome. It's great your wife has a driving experience like that. What laser jammers will you be getting?
I'm looking at Antilaser Priority, have the Escort Laser Shifter in my S8Plus and I'm not entirely satisfied with it.
I read that the laferrari is not avorio but a custom matched colour. Avorio on crema is pretty intense and the lighter blues/greys for the interior might be a nice choice to offset the exterior and still keep it "feminine". Will be easier on resale as well.
