Ferrari - wha an unmitigated disaster the last 3 races have been. An absolute fiasco. Heads must roll. Shambles. Merc have been handed the wdc and wcc. Redbull could yet take 2nd place in the WCC. A disgrace of the highest order.

Having a few issues from time to time is never nice, but so many mistakes in such a short period will not be forgiven - the manufacturer's title has been out of sight for a long time, which was acceptable given where Ferrari was coming from, but now the driver's title has also become completely unlikely.
Not sure that publicly announcing people replacements would help, but certainly the team needs some serious changes since such repeated problems should have been made impossible.

It certainly seems that way, but it may not be a team personnel issue, it may be supplier issues, or just lack of refinement through lack of testing. One way or the other, ferrari need to get on top of things for next year, otherwise the farce will continue

One good thing came out of this weekend though, Palmer got the sack! Now he won't be spinning around causing safety cars and generally getting in the way anymore, and I'm guessing sainz better be hoping Renault have a big spend coming on their team to back up his move, or it's pretty sideways for him, and a lot less of a safe environment for him if he wants to progress to a top team later

You realise there are rules in the forum that mean you aren't supposed to try to incite people with posts, 90% of yours are attacking ferrari, their drivers, or trying to undermine tifosi that post. I do wonder why you bother, surely you would be better off posting in forums dedicated to teams you support?

It doesn't show, well done hiding it.

No chance, I don't want that knob anywhere near a ferrari f1 car. I've owned ferraris for years too, mine only went last year due to cancer as I couldn't cope with the harsh ride, the Bentley is only just okay at the moment. When I beat it, don't worry, I'll take up my option on the 812 superfast.

The story of the remaining races will be how Ferrari respond. There are no titles to be won possibly so now its damage limitation / recovery.

I'am in the real world, and I don't subscribe to your views on Mr Hamilton, I think he is a fantastic driver, but that doesn't stop me supporting Ferrari.

Good point, Hamilton tossed away his fist championship in what was his rookie year or close to it? by going for the win in Chain in the rain and beaching his car. Admirable to see a drive who always goes for the win, but he only needed to finish in top 8 and should have pitted for new tires instead of charging hard for the win. He'd be a five time world champ instead of closing in on four.

Then a few DNF's because his teammate had a better car, or he would have had another championship at Mercedes.

So let the point stand, Hamilton is not lucky or he'd be closing in on 6. He's a damn good driver to have a chance at 4 after two championships were lost by being unlucky.

    Aaaah...the selective memory...;)
So you counted two championships he lost because he was not completely lucky....As you said, the first had nothing to do with luck, he has thrown it away...
Further no word of mention that he won a WDC by luck in the last corner when catching up Glock after loosing the needed place in the rain against rookie Vettel in the TR...
"Few DNF´s"? Yes, one is "a few" :D Unfortunately you do not mention again that his team mate also had his share in DNF´s in 2014 with "fluid in the steering column" and a lost PU in the last race. So in this category Lewis has absolutely nothing to complain...But Group LH44 only sees when something goes wrong....
You will not argue that the recent gap in the WDC is more down to the missfortune of his opponent than his brilliant driving....

Max with tire issues near the end - https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/132294/blister-stopped-verstappen-hamilton-attack

Red Bull boss Christian Horner says a blistered front-left tyre was the main reason Max Verstappen couldn't attack Lewis Hamilton for victory in Formula 1's Japanese Grand Prix.

Verstappen finished second at Suzuka, falling only 1.2 seconds shy of beating Hamilton after closing right up to the tail of the Mercedes driver in the closing laps.

Most of Verstappen's second stint was spent around three seconds adrift of the lead having gained time on the leader by ending his first stint on the supersoft tyres a lap earlier than Hamilton, for what appeared an attempted undercut strategy.

But Horner revealed that this was an instruction from the team in order to prevent a blister that appeared on Verstappen's front-left tyre during the second stint from worsening.

"We were managing, pretty much from about lap 35/36, an appearing and a widening blister on the inside of the front-left tyre that was getting ever deeper and wider," Horner said.

Hahahahahahahahaha you gave me the best laugh today! Elton lost two? Crikey, you must be really selective in memory, or just be using wiki-crap-dia to fill in the blanks. How many DNFs because Nico had a better car?, was that a car that had a button Nico could press to DNF Elton's car then? What did Nico have to do with his DNF, you know, the only one that counted against him?

In that case, Alonso was due at least two more when in the ferrari against vettel, and of course, mark Webber was four times champion really, but for his teammates ability to beat him into submission every year. At least we know now that you must have gifted Michael a few more for the years when he came close but didn't win due to a reliability issue, or when he was crashed out of the race by Montoya and others..... cool, in your world Michael must be at least ten times champion

Hahahahahahahahaha ouch........ fell off the chair laughing so much

Fantastic race and what a nail biter till the end.

Great composed drive by Hamilton and a superb Max keeping it real.

As for the Scuderia: I can't wait for some drastic head rolling changes. This is getting super pathetic. Seb deserves better as well as the fans.

No. It wasn't clear that Lewis would win this and it wasn't clear that DR would be able to hold off Bottas. A couple more laps and it could be quite different. Plus what if Max and Lewis had taken each other out? And then there were the issues Lewis had with the PU. Many things could have happened towards the end.

Aside from that there was the Alonso battle with Massa.
