Native English people speak with a wide range of accents, that doesn't mean they aren't fluent in English. Rosberg is every bit as fluent as many of them.
Yes, to some extent. Rosberg speaks Hochdeutsch; you can tell he's been educated and brought up in German, it's fluent. Rosberg speaks English very well but with a slight but distinctive German accent. Fluency in my book means speaking a language as a native does.
Do you guys have a mandatory second language at school? at what age? MY 11 years old daughter begun learning english a couple years ago and this year she started German (although it was an option). When i was her age i started English in the 5th grade and French 2 years later, now you can choose between French, German or Spanish.....Spanish is useless because it's very easy so she will learn it on her own, german it's a bit harder because i can´t speak either so i can't help her much...but since i somethimes study with her i'm also learning it a bit so it's kind of funny.
With Rosberg leaving, Pastor hopes it would open up a chance to get back in F1.......UHH NO!!!!!! Maldonado hoped Rosberg shuffle would open up F1 chance
OCTOBER 12, 2017 Rosberg considering regular pundit job Nico Rosberg is considering a more regular job in the F1 paddock. The newly retired reigning world champion attended a pre-season test in Spain early this year as well as the grand prix in Monaco, where he lives with his young family. But at Suzuka, German Rosberg was on hand as a paid pundit for British television Sky, whose veteran commentator Martin Brundle praised him. "Nico is an asset for any broadcaster," he is quoted by Auto Motor und Sport. "He knows these hybrid cars, all the drivers, all the circuits. And he's the reigning champion." Rosberg, who suddenly quit just days after winning the title last year, hinted he might now be looking for a regular TV punditry job, perhaps with Germany's RTL. "I believe I can bring a new level to the expert opinion role," he said. "If I enjoy it, I'll come back. Perhaps this year. But I'm not tied to any (TV) station yet," Rosberg insisted.
My first impression of Nico on sky was being quite annoyed. Relatively shallow throwing around of phrases. But it turned out that once they asked detailed questions and not generic stuff he had really good contributions. So while I can't really say I enjoyed his part I do think it might turn out great in future. Groete Matti
I think he did well, and to be immediately on screen and on camera for everything, rather than getting started via a commentary box 'voice only' role like brundle started with, and coulthard, I think he held up well. His more recent experience of the cars will be a better asset than that dipstick ted kravitz and his England or else bias, and as for Simon what's his name, I never heard of him, Nico was great. As he gets used to things, the guy will be very very good. Articulate, intelligent, and worthy
I understand what he's saying. Regarding the relationship, it was clear to me that NR struggled with people placing LH so far in front of him. He hated talking about Ham in the press conferences and bristled when a reporter mistook him for Lewis. In Barcelona, while it was clear that NR forced LH into the grass while defending his position, I believe LH made certain neither of them was going to finish the race.
What about in Hungary 2016, Lewis went wide on the turn and Nico said " I was at full wheel lock!!" and shunted LH which if you look at Nico's on-board, he was not even "at full wheel lock." Payback maybe but Nico lost positions during that race and LH won. Never understood that one from Nico....oh well.
Hungary or the Red Bull Ring? Just to go back to 2014/2015, Nico always ceded position to Hamilton under attack and many were telling him that he needed to stop doing so if he ever wanted to be WDC. It wasn't in his nature, and he had a few ham-handed episodes of trying to block while under attack. That had a lot to do with their clashes on the circuits in 2016.
Hamilton never showed any respect for Nico and it was not only when he has thrown the hat towards him that he treated him worse than his dog... One single time Nico did not drew back (Spa) and he was publicly butchered by his team. Nico needed more than a year to recover and Lewis made the mistake to still not take him serious allowing him to win the last races in 2015...It is often pointed out that Lewis did not win because of a single DNF but truth is he screwed it by himself giving Nico self-confidence when he was already on the ground. In my opinion Lewis is a good driver but not a champion and Nico made the most out of his abilities. People here might dislike him but I am sure that he is better suited for a career in TV than Lewis will ever be because apart from some biased British viewers I doubt that anybody would profit from Lewis talking in TV about other people and races he took not part (see remarks on Indy....)
Nico on Sky? When interviewing Max and Ricci he was asked if would like to be their teamate,he could not resist a dig at Lewis saying that he was used to having a 'difficult' one ..haha hoho very funny .. What a loser .let him be on German tv or whatever ,but pleeese not on Sky.Basically the vast majority of viewers in the UK cannot stand the smug idiot.
