Who ever related anything I said that started you off in your ridiculous tirade of posts to elton at any time being supported or not, he was mentioned as an example of a Brit vs. German, alongside schu and hill, in rivalry that brits seem to get all WW2 about. Jesus, you are a touchy soul aren't you? You don't like that I don't support English people in sport..... no, I won't, I support the best in my opinion, so Alonso in F1, previously Senna, Alesi, Schumacher. In football, I follow Italy and Brazil, as my mum was sicilian, hence Italy. I support ferrari cos it's in my blood. I love the US because it's the best place in the world to live and have opportunities. Britain, meh, off the boil, a faded shadow of itself since the socialists destroyed it first time around in the 70's, full of apologists and pc liberals.... you can keep it sunbeam, I'll just stay here to make coin, then I'm off to the real land of opportunity, with a few visits back to Palermo in the meantime

I know this is so last year but I'll say it away. F1 has been so much better this year since Nico and his nasty attitude haven't been on the track. Right when he started driving for Williams a reporter asked him a question, after practice/qualifying, and Nico gave the reporter the nastiest arrogant scoffing look and a one word answer. He was a brand new nobody and was already an ass. Never liked him from that day forward, and the way he acted through his racing career further solidified my dislike for him. The cherry on the icing was when he lost the championship to Lewis, again, in 2015, and after Lewis tossed him the hat, they are obligated to wear, Nico threw it back at Lewis in contempt and glared at him. Piss poor sportsmanship, sour looser, and a nasty disposition. Good riddance!
The boys on Sky just paying lip service to Nicole..deep down i think they do not want Nicole dissing Lewis at every opportunity ..just go back to your sofa in Monaco F1 does not need him.
LH equally as bad for tossing the cap in the first place. It takes 2 to wreck a situation. No driver is a saint at all in F1. Hate or worship is very bad idea when it comes to drivers.
Nico makes a lot of sense, has a good sense of humour, and until very recently drove the best car in f1 for the last four years, I'd say he has a great perspective on both the car, the team, f1 and of course, a personal knowledge of elton that sky will be uncomfortable with if anything, maybe that's why some really don't want him on tv. They are frightened he will shatter their illusions of Elton's abilities when his good AND bad points are revealed
Without mentioning the more onerous parts of your rant, mostly because it is full of contridictions and it's a F1 section, plus I'd be here all day. However thanks for your insight on living in the UK, a interesting perspective, I'am not so sure you would be welcomed elsewhere, but fingers crossed eh. Some quick points: 1.I haven't started on any tirade, you would know if I had. 2.The only Elton I know, has the surname John following it. 3.I'm not a touchy soul, just astounded at what you admit to, and put in the public domain. 4.I do not care that you do not support UK sports folk, that's been obvious since you started posting. 5.Why bother wasting time trying to make coin in the UK, when surely you can make it quicker in the real land of opportunity, makes sense eh.

Another attempt at de-fusing.... I note that this is the F1 board yet I notice that the vast majority of posts refer to "drivers", their personalities, and the posters own egocentrics. I see very little reference to the actual driving ability of the pilots, the technical aspects of the cars, or the tactics of the teams. REAL auto racing fans, eh? More likely just some more "Access Hollywood" or "Deco Drive" fans.... (celebrite shows here in the states for the unenlightened) Ponderous.

Not what his Mum and Dad named him though - Wonder if they missed Reg? NEWS FLASH PEOPLE! Despite the UK's TV/press coverage, the reality is, not everyone in the UK is a Lewis Hamilton fan! And: Not everyone in the UK is anti -German! Whilst there is a large percentage of F1 fans in the UK who do support Hamilton, it's not everyone. There are quite a few who think he's a complete knob outside of the car, and simply can't take to him. For those fans, they were hoping Nico would beat him last season, and celebrated when it happened (Myself included). During the Schumacher/Ferrari era, the whole of the UK wasn't against Schuey, and there are plenty of Brits who like Sebastian Vettel, with his very English sense of humour. So let's get a bit realistic here and knock off all the stereotyping, and knock off all the tarring everyone in the UK with the same brush!
You're barking up the wrong tree Phil. Why are you inferring I don't like Germans ,take a look at my Avatar name for a clue plus the fact I have many German friends. Do you think I'am that stupid thinking everyone in the UK likes Lewis, if so that's another ridiculous notion you have, I have a lot of friends that are proof of that. Did you actually stop to think, and forget to start again before getting on your high horse, and pulling my words out of context. Because if you did, you would realize, that I was merely trying to understand why Mr Sydney, is constantly polluting this forum, with his constant hate filled posts about Lewis Hamilton. And he has now somewhat explained his reasoning, and I'am happy to read he wants to leave the UK, I wish him good luck. So to summarize, take your own advice about stereotyping, and don't get involved with matters that do concern you ok.

As I said: I allways felt welcome in the UK, please reread my post I simply do not get why the media is getting out of proportions when it comes to Brits vs. Krauts in sports??? We have some bad press as well but I can not remember having seen pictures of German football players with steal helmets before a football match against England over here but I have seen similar things in the British press...And it is not that people don´t read that and don´t want to see it otherwise they would not print it....
Elton is a reference to Elton John due to his taste in cloths and sunglases....Other drivers have nicknames as well or do you think the guys above are allways talking about his former Girlfriend when they refer to Nicole....
i think he is totally straight and indeed has plenty of ex and current girlfriends..there are some (perhaps banned now) who questioned this though,i believe this is where his nickname really came from.. not from me ,so please do not attempt to put words into my mouth or twist reality .thanks.
