    Hey!
The cover on my air filter cover is almost gone. Know someone where I can buy a new decal.

Yes, screenprint. If you want it done to original standard, I believe Italian Car Parts is the only source for the correct option. Otherwise stencil and spray paint.

Be aware that early 328s had same print on air box as the 308QV. Later production were just “Ferrari.” Not sure when change was made. ICP redid my 328 air box and I am pleased with result. Easy to work with those guys.

I found a seller on eBay that was selling a water-slide decal. I haven't been able to contact him lately, but the decal did turn out pretty well. I hit it afterwards with a little satin clear and it has held up really well. You can make your own water slide decals and just print them on clear decal paper. It isn't 100% of course, but way cheaper and looks pretty good...

FWIW, my 60949, November 1985 build, has the additional lettering.

I've read that the additional script changed in 87 model year, but not idea when. Mine is a Nov 86 build and the lettering is so far gone you can't tell that it ever existed. I have the stencil to fix it, but have never done it.

I did my ones with a water decal that a forum member sent me: It works well and the result, after some attempts, is great.

My 66731 from September 1986 (more or less the VIN is that) had the UFI script

    Ciao

Thanks. I will update the ranges to reflect the two difference stencils. Hopefully, we will ultimately narrow down to the "approximate" vin for the change.

Alberto - do have a picture of the stencil on the air box? I remember you were part of the discussion a while ago and were concerned about the reproduction process.

    Regards.

True that early and late 328 airboxes were decorated differently. But the later ones were not 'only' Ferrari; they Ferrari was on the top, and the rest of the decoration was printed on the back end. I'll post snapshots of mine (late 1988) later, to illustrate this.
