On the subject of cannonball, had my invite to the 2018 rally today, £12000 per car, for two people, five star all the way, and as many speeding tickets as the cops can manage. Would've cost me almost the same in tickets as the entry last time I did a rally across Europe, but of course, didn't pay any of them in countries that we were using false plates and documents in! Was touch and go at times on getting the car impounded though, and the French would've definitely impounded or even crushed the car if they'd caught us one time, we hid in a barn up a little track in the end and switched number plates, took all our stickers off, and waited a couple hours to make sure they didn't find us

Unbelieveable tho'...'still no mention of the chassis/engine. I'm presuming still Ligier/Nissan as that's what they ran last year.

Admittedly, he always dabbled in offroad racing (SCORE) and since quitting NASCAR, has returned to them (USAC Stadium Super Trucks and what-not).
