How can it be original if it's restored, you dummy? It's only original once. And no, it still doesn't work like that.
Ok. Non-modified then. I guess we’ll see. Given the track record of the experts here it’ll probably sell for $400k.
I think if someone has cash to burn and wants a pristine car to add to their collection ,then they will look at it as long as its history is good. Good cars are very hard to find......
You mean like how 6 years ago you were all saying none of the everyday “mass produced” Ferrari’s will ever go up in value? You know, back when 308s, 328s, and 355s could easily be had for under $100k? Ok. Got it. Lol.
Don’t know how you come to that conclusion. Anyone who is bored enough could find plenty of posts from several years ago from the experts saying exactly what I suggested. The fact is that 308/328/355s have gone up substantially since then, and 348/360s are at least worth the same and in my view more than back then. Not to mention 308GT4s and other previously “unloved” cars. That’s not delusional, just a fact. So while I mean no disrespect to the experts on here I wouldn’t be taking anything they said as gospel. Like anyone else, their views are often clouded by their own biases and preferences.
I'll try and explain to you what it is that makes you a fw.....once is crystal ball gazing....the other is talking about cars at today's values. The value of a 'normal' Ferrari is NEVER the cost of an average car plus the cost of restoration. Not ever. A 355 is not, relatively speaking, anything other than a normal Ferrari. So, you're still delusional, because you can't even differentiate between predicting future prices and knowing the prices of today. LIke Karen, you should just stop posting.
Ok, expert. Let’s talk about the prices of today. What do you think that immaculate 355 is worth, today?
I didn't 'have' to agree,I've always had that point of view and going by your history of modifying your Ferrari;s,I'm surprised you have it as well.
Gosford museum? They are selling 7 Ferraris this weekend so plenty of room for a pristine 355 https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/available-cars/?paged=1&char_car-make=Ferrari https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-456-gta/ https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-250-gte/ https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-dino-308-gt4/ https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-365/ https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-mondial/ https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-testarossa/ https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/ferrari-328/
Surely a car that good has to be worth the same sort of money as a 993 turbo. I have a turbo and a 355 and the 355 is much more the drivers car, especially the sound. The turbo does fair perform in a straight line though. I thought i read somewhere that a concourse car is worth 50% more than condition 1. I sure hope so because at that, i doubt id break even on my 10 year concourse winning turbo!
Channel 7 news story said they are expecting $2.5million for the Miura!! https://twitter.com/7NewsSydney/status/923462284965437440 <-- video https://classiccars.pickles.com.au/cars/lamborghini-miura/
I never do any modification that can't be undone with no trace that it was anything other than standard....ever ever. I love originality.
You'd think so, but I've spent 40 years trying to make sense of it, and there IS no sense to prices. I've seen it time and time again.....you NEVER recover the cost of restoration on a run of the mill ferrari in the short term. you might if the values go through the roof, but it'll never be worth the $$$ spent over a non restored car. My 308 was sensational value for that reason. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Have you been to the Museum and had a close look.......Most of the cars need full restoration and they are not maintained......The 355 would be totally out of place there.....
I didn't think the 355 was a run of the mill ferrari..... they sure do rave about it on every vid review and motoring magazine. Isn't the 355 one of the all time most beautiful looking and sounding v8 ferraris ever made?
