Yet more irrelevant drivel. Good thing you're not a lawyer.

Everyone knows that the dominant car does not win every race. Your argument is worthless.

It's not really.... The claim by many is that Lewis is a qualifying God. The reality is that Vettel is probably better, but without a good car neither would snag pole, unlike someone like senna, who really was a pole God.

The elton fans just can't accept it, when elton has a car that isn't the best in the field, he struggles like any other mid-table driver, and doesn't get hardly any poles except when it's a perfect day, and actually, you hear him asking if he can park the car once he drops too far behind for his liking.

Like anyone in the absolute fastest car of it's time, the red bull, Williams, ferrari or Mercedes........ he gets his poles. Course, it doesn't make him a god, as Nico also got plenty of poles AGAINST elton in the same car, unless elton had got every pole for Mercedes in the last four seasons, he can't be claimed as a qualifying God, because even inter team he has been beaten far too many times for him to be considered a great

Now Senna, he could get pole in a piece of crap, against a great car with a second a lap advantage over him....... that man had a talent, and was one of the greatest qualifier. Schumacher was the same, he could coax a time from a bucket of bolts when he had too. Against the Williams in 1994/1995, plenty of times without his input, the Bennetton was actually the third or even fourth best car out there, yet he would start on the front row, and we all now what a fantastic achievement it was to smash Hill for the title twice in a row in a very much inferior car, and then to run villenueve close in the bathtub that was the Ferrari at that time (Jerez was a bit of a let down, but schu I deserved the title that year for putting up with that barrel on wheels)

The dominant car wins MOST races, but then I've only been following F1 since Jack Brabham won the title in 1960 so a newbie at this sport.

Belittling people is not a good debating tool ........... I know because I use it all the time

I never liked Senna, he was very arrogant, Schuey wasn't .......... ruthless on the track yes but I thought he was very genuine off the track

The time he gave Rubinho the 1st place trophy I thought displayed the man's character

    What a joke!!!
You say the 2013 Mercedes was so inferior that it is a prove for Lewis´ skills to put that car on pole and even call it "facts".
Then one points out that before the summer break (in the period Lewis got his poles) the Mercedes won 7 out of 10 pole positions (including 3 of Lewis´ team mate) so the car obviously can´t have been that inferior over one flying lap. Forthermore it won 3 races against 4 of the RB and 2 of the Ferrari (again 2 by Lewis´team mate) so it was not even much behind in race trim, especially not behind the Ferrari that never had the pace to get a single pole position over this year.
But still you call this all "irrelevant drivel" because "EVERYONE KNOWS that the dominant car does not win every race"...now that would make a great argument at court speaking of lawyers..."Your Honor...I do not have an argument for that but everyone knows....". That would be fun to see...
You obviously paint yourself the F1 worlds in the colours as you like to see it and you do not let getting facts in your way while doing so...

The dominant car always wins the season unless mechanical failures intervene or an accident goes the wrong way (hello Silverstone/Schumacher, I'm looking at you)

True. The dominant car does usually win the season - except it didn't that year. Why?

Irvine was playing second fiddle to Schuey, then he gets hurt at Silverstone and Salo and Irvine weren't good enough to pull it off.

This is the problem of having a poor #2 if #1 gets injured mid season

Rubinho would have bought it home ...... luckily for us long term (21 years) tifosi schu won it the next year in Japan :)

Precisely. The dominant car should win every time, it it stilll needs a decent driver to make it happen. A clown can't win in the best car.

They're all good drivers...some just better than others.

I still think Alonso is the best though. He doesn't need a perfect car to get a good result. If he'd been in the Red Bull or Mercedes he'd be a 10 x WDC. Actually, if he was in the Ferrari this year, he'd probably have won the WDC. Lewis would have cracked.

Because Eddie Irvine was no schumi, he was quick but had no racecraft, a perfect number two, but not even a decent number one in the jaguar, let alone at ferrari. Schumi came back and trounced the guy, because the ferrari, while the best car, was the best car IN THE HANDS OF A GREAT DRIVER, because it was barely the better car. Even Mika salo did well in that car, just as well as Irvine, and no one says Mika salo was the great unmissed talent that never got a decent chance

You can't compare Irvine to rosberg, he was quick when he arrived in F1, and proved he was a match for your golden boy over four seasons with him. Irvine was a definite class 2 driver, not in the same league as a rosberg, or a button. He is more a lucky version of Heikki if anything, famous because he dared to unlap himself against ayrton and getting a punch on the nose for his trouble. Much as I loved Eddie for his lifestyle and attitude, he knew he was number two, and knew he wasn't great.

Salo never got the recognition he deserved, he fell on his sword for Ferrari. The record shows that he never won a GP but he gave up a win to aid Irvine's championship hopes. IMO Schuey didn't take the fight to Hakkinen at the season finale, he just couldn't stomach his team mate Eddie winning the WDC.

Schuey actually did do what he needed to, knowing that Eddie wouldn't be able to pass Mika for the points, but I don't think he would have gone out of his way to do anything, given he'd sweated blood and tears for four seasons getting that car where it was, he definitely wanted the first title for ferrari

11 poles, 9 wins, nice job... and two more races to potentially add to his stats.

Still sucks. Managed to moan and whine the race away, struggling to pass Renault and mclarens, while Seb raced towards the front. Even managed to get himself lapped. Ordinary driver in an extraordinary car, no more than that

Considering he had to very slowly limp his car back to the pits all the way from Turn 3 due to the flat tire caused by Seb, his gap to the rest of the field after pitting was thusly far larger than the one Seb faced after stopping to replace his own front wing.

Boo hoo. Didn’t explain why he was so lacklustre in his attitude and performance today though does it. Alonso put manners on him in a car that should be embarrassed to share the same track
