For me colors need to be matched with the design. OK, a lot want a red Ferrari, but for me not all Ferraris look great in red (i.e. GTC4Lusso or 812Superfast, or even the 599).

If you're going to keep the 812 for a long time, choose a standard color with or without the shields. Want something special? I would go for Grigio Granito. Even more special? Nero Stellato.

If however want to buy the car and sell it a higher price within 2 years, a Tailor Made color with several "special" options (like Piano Black interior trim, Microprestige, painted shields etc.) is the path for added value.

For my 2 cents Grigo Coburn is worth every penny of the stiff asking price. Go with the usual shields. However I would say no to the painted shields out of concern for any damage that they may incur. As for seeing the paint with these triple layer paints the color changes with the viewing angle every time you move. The paint is alive; get it if you can! I noticed one grigio ferro car sitting for the better part of a year at the dealership and no takers even as the price continues to fall gradually. No crazy options and beige interior but still it sits...

Sorry Scraggy I didn't see this. That is an excellent question I asked myself about that several times, I imagined for exemple a Tdf in Maserati Grigio Lava

If I had ordered such a extracompionario color, the biggest part of the pleasure would be to know that's its unique, plus probably some nice shades under direct sunlight

But let's be honest, Silverstone and CdF are absolutely perfect grey paints, any Ferrari in those color in a clean condition is a marvel that doesn't need anything else. OK there are a lot of them ... and so what ?

Everyone has its own motivations, some want to be have something absolutely unique, some want to climb the ferrari "Client scale" more quickly to get some LE models

I thought about that many times. But at the end gimme a clean Canna di Fucile V12 and I'll be the most happy man on earth.

If one day in my life I'll be rich and bored enough to order a custom "Grigio Londonio" paint I'll do it just for the pleasure of discussing it here with my gray pals

Concerning the shields I don't have an opinion about that since I'm rellay not a fan of the painted ones - Some may have a better point of view

Ahaha I'm very happy to have found this ! it was tailored for me !

I don't post only the combo I love, I'll try to please everybody, especially when to picture are beautiful. Sometimes I have to pinch my nose and close my eyes when posting those avio metallic and azzuro california colors that I can't stand but since they are popular...ahaha
On the other hand I love blu Pozzi and TDF

Yes the red 812 makes that argument rather convincingly.

Anything in the silver to grey range is great. With a complicated design you perhaps want to feature those curves! Black looses a lot of detail as does dark blue. Somehow the grey offers more clarity...

I agree with you fully, Grigio Titanio is my favorite at the moment.

Do you think all black can look super sporty on 812?
