Great day to stretch this little race car's legs in Chicago's cool Fall weather. What a wonderfully balanced GT. Sounds amazing at higher revs and so light and nimble. Checks all the boxes for me and is one of my favorite cars in it's overall attributes. A great blend of vintage and modern car feel that few cars deliver. IMO one of the best cars for the money in today's market.

Awesome Geno! I never realized you were in Chicago, I used to take my Jag XKE roadster screaming down the LSD.

Couldn't agree with you more, Geno. The first midengine Ferrari 12 - great power and torque and excellent gearing for spirited driving. And of course what a sound - Ferrari carbureted 12 cylinder! Giallo with Boxer trim is also one of the best color combos for the Boxer.

Beautiful shots, Geno. Are you running 512 rear wheels?

Do you have (had?) a dark blue 365 GT/4 BB? White lens for the parking lights and triple tail lights are perfection...

Chris you're an expert. You own one so you know what I meant. A sweet little package. So pure and simple. If I had to just have one car this would be it.

You should get your rear spline drives swapped left to right so the spinners aren't on backwards. The ears should point clockwise on the left and counter clockwise on the right. Whoever had the suspension out should consider a different profession.

I not even had noticed that because of the beauty of this car.
had myself a very bad experience with those wrong mounted hubs ( mozzo per ruota ) on my 250 GT/E more than 40 years ago: during acceleration I lost one spinner and shortly after I lost 1 wheel. I had been very lucky that nothing serious happened. at that time I had nearly no experience and the rear axle was leaking oil on both sides. so I dismantled all at the same time, cleaned all, put new bearings and new seals on and then all together, but changed because of not knowing and not thinking about the hubs from left to right side and otherwise.
the lost nut I never found again

so please change those as soon as possible

Good for you that you were able to get the Boxer out. Not many days left in Chicago to be able to go for a drive! The Boxer looks great.

Newman you have a good eye for details. You're right about the incorrect direction, I knew about it. What happened is, I prepped the car for the Nationals that took place in Monterey a few years ago. I had spinners that were showing some age. As you know they are very hard to find where no re-chroming has taken place and where you can make out the Cavalino perfectly. A friend has 3 perfect spinners but all were in the same direction bolt pattern. We put them on and I left them this way till now.

Always enjoy seeing a blue 365 BB and yours was at the Cavallino Classic in Boca to as I recall. The early BB looks so pure...

Very carefully! The knockoffs were actually made as prizes that my friend received many years ago mounted on Schedoni Leather bases. They have backwards improper direction threads. They look as-new and due to the fact they are unattainable we decided to use them for now.

No Geno, the spline hubs are on the wrong side which involves taking the rear uprights apart depending on if the stub axles are even on the right sides. A spinner is always made right and left hand thread and cant be put on the wrong side regardless of what they are from unless the part they thread onto is on the wrong side - this is the case with your car.
