Hi Joe, There were 17 RHD skirted Countach QVs: two blue, three black, six red and six white. The first and last were blu - the first being 12249 pictured a few posts up on the cover of Performance car - it is blue with a light interior piped blue. The last car was F923OYR, above, which was supplied by Portman Lamborghini and went straight to The Brunei collection. F923OYR is blu with blu inside piped purple with purple carpets. Pininfarina built a separate workshop for Brunei projects, but when Brunei stopped spending money (I think because of the Prince Jefri problems), Pininfarina had to close the Brunei workshop and the cars in it were sold. For some unknown reason, F923OYR was in the Pininfarina workshop and was sold with very low mileage via Cars International into the U.K. and reregistered on its original plate F923OYR. ...and here it is in your photo. Portman Lamborghini registered 88 Countachs F919OYR, 920, 921, 922 (which is above), 923 (blue above) 924 925 (black now 40RAL above) and F926OYR. F927OYR was a Jalpa and F928OYR was one of the first RHD Anniversarys. Robert
Image Unavailable, Please Login ....funnily enough I posted this pic of F922OYR in the wild on Instagram just today!!
Robert, I personally saw F 922 OYR driving around the area of Buckingham Palace in 1988 - 1990, does that make sense?
Amazing info Robert, you are a font of knowledge regarding these cars. I remember the ex-Brunei Downdraft because of it's purple piping & carpets, I think I saw it @ Portman's West London Service center! Great to have this mystery car confirmed, where is it now though?
Thanks, that makes sense, I think Mike Perry had his post-Portman showroom nearby. Meanwhile more recent images of Rick Lee's Downdraft parked in Chelsea. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
MC spotted cruising in JLA12412 in the USA, this car was originally imaged early in this thread on Turin, Italy-registered plates. Image Unavailable, Please Login
