However bringing money only to pull the team's performance down is no incentive for other potential sponsors, so it's money preventing to raise money.
Lance did well today. He was "only" a second a lap slower than Massa for the entire race. Then he abused his tires trying to over take Grosjean for 15th place. Great job! Now he can practice the last race with this Playstation and see if he can beat Torro Rosso if they finish.
I am completely speechless at the abysmal performance put in by Stroll today. Surely he's got better things to do with his time/life?
Things I'd do if I was Stroll (and his level of talent): 1) not race F1 anymore 2) buy a V10 F1 car and enter BossGP 3) race LMP2 and GT3 type cars 4) Chill on the superyacht with current catalogue of Victoria Secret models
Don't worry chief ,you will never have his level of talent,or money, cars, superyacht etc etc and unfortuneately those models hang out with dudes like Lewis ,those pumped up gladiator looks are so yesterday.
I've just woken up, immediately checked the f1 news feed expectantly, but sadly I have to report that Stroll still hasn't been fired. Oh dear...
I think i might struggle a bit too mate.had a go in one in 1988 but they told me it had been specially widened to fit alan jones lol.I think they were having a laugh but you never know.
I think the LMP2 class is so interesting (cost vs speed ratio) so was utterly disappointed when I stood next to one and figured I'd struggle to put my cat inside, let alone all of me
Mayor, we all agree with you, apart from Andreas (he does but he won't admit it) and another guy (even lancelot would)....but we all know speed and talent aren't the factor behind the stroller hiring, so it really doesn't matter if Felipe drives rings around him (wich he has been doing all season long) ...in the eyes of Claire, as long as he brings money, he will be a star of the future!
Nostradamus predicts! In the last race in Abu Dahbi, Massa will be leading Stroll as usual when a call will come from the pits “box box box”. Massa will retire while Stroll finishes the race bringing home a sense of victory to Team Williams. So it is written in the stars!
"In the last race in Abu Dahbi, Massa will be leading Stroll as usual when a call will come from the pits “box box box”. Massa will retire while Stroll finishes the race bringing home a sense of victory to Team Williams." Nostradamas or W.C. ??? (Fields, that is. I can just envision his delivery.... )
Felipe Massa looks like he's trying to retire, but he came back for one extra season because the team asked him to return. I couldn't tell you who might be a good replacement for him, but in interviews Massa looks either happy to retire or receptive to another season if he's asked. I certainly wouldn't call what's happening here a firing of Massa by Williams. That's just a fabricated drama created by journalists. All the best, Andrew.
Well, they just didn't offer him a new contract under any circumstance. They didn't even try to negotiate. Call that what you will. Williams doesn't want Massa driving for them next year. What would you call that? "your contract is ending" "yes" "we aren't renewing it" "you don't want to negotiate? There's nothing I can do?" "No. We are finding someone else to do your job" Firing? I'm guessing most would say that's what it is.
Bad guess. It's "called" retiring form F1. To echo Neuro, where were you last year when he was retiring?... and had his famous walk in Brazil. Or all of this year when it's been repeated over and over that he's back for Williams as they lost Bottas. 'Curious; do you follow F1 or just grab facts from the air? It's been pretty well known that THIS would be his (additional) last year. Have you seen any interviews with Massa? Apparently not. It's all entertaining however.
I retired two years ago and wasn't offered a contract either, as everyone knew I was done. Guess what? Nine months later I was, like Massa for this year, asked to come back and do more time to help out. Unlike Massa, I said no thank you to the offer. So what's your point? A whim? I was not fired and neither was/will Massa.
The NBCSN team have been stirring up drama over Massa's drive for 2018. I think he's perfectly content to retire at the end of this year, as he originally planned to do at the end of last year. All the best, Andrew.
"Firing" by default this all is. Massa made it clear he felt he was a good choice to stay with Williams and was driving well and was happy!
