    A long time ago, I specced out what I thought would be the ultimate one-off Ferrari. Tailor-Made in Maranello obliged and a lot of time passed. Many emails and even a visit this last September to check out the almost finished car. And today it arrived!

    First off, here is the car in Maranello...


    More to come in the following hours and days for what is the most exciting car I've ever had the privilege to buy!

    I absolutely need to see some close up pics because at first sight I saw an argento tdf. I don't want to spoil your joy in any way, that picture probably don't do the car justice

    Congrats! :) This was a hell of a job to grind the whole car in a full matching finish! :)

    Cool that they finish the fuel cap, too! On the pic it shows a lot of orange peel,
    is the paint finish on the car ok? Ferrari, we all know, is famous for the orange peel
    and on semi gloss a paint correction didn't work. So i cross my fingers for you,
    for an excellent paintjob! :)

    Can't wait to see more pics!

    Congratulations! Looking good but those indoor pics surely don't do the car justice! Outdoors pictures are mandatory! :)

    I'm still intrigued about the finish match bumpers vs. body, please add a few close-ups.

    All in all I've always liked the idea of bare metal bodies so I've been closely following this one. @-CD- Christian, the clear coat *could* show minor orange peel, but the obvious visible pattern is that of the bare aluminium, not defective paint.

    Me to, the finish detail is amazing and a 1 of 1 effort with that metal 'look'. You can't compare this car as you would a normal painted tdF...

    I believe that effect is because of working with two different surfaces. It is further complicated in this unique case by trying to match the painted finish on the front and rear bumper trim with metal bodywork. No easy task!

    Certainly. The aluminum panels appear to have a DA finish prior to clear coat. That would be hard to replicate on a painted plastic surface unless someone air brushed the effect :)
