Thanks guys. Here's a few pictures from the dealer. The car has finished PDI. The dealer is installing the Capristo exhaust valve kit and lowering the car on the stock springs and shocks. I'll be picking it up Monday or Tuesday. . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh that is sweet. I love the yellow and happy to hear you worked out a deal on your GTB. Funny but I was in the same boat and less than a week later after my spider arrived my GTB sold! Almost went with the Daytona racing seats myself but couldn't resist the goldrake. Yellow stripe looks great! Capristo is a great idea. I think you will find the stance is perfect as is but a little lower will be great too.
Hi, just got an email from my dealer - at stage 40 in production for my 488Sp awaiting an email from Ferrari so I can login........................................................
Not sure why the photo's are no longer timely, I've received none, and my 488 Spider is now at my dealer for the PDI. Makes little sense to send them to me after the car is in my garage, but maybe that's just me! Jim
My order, along with my deposit, was submitted on 11 May, it went to "Red 10" early in September , and status 90 during te third week in October...what a Christmas present! I have been told that the in process pictures are no longer provided...it certainly appears that way.
I am just confused about my 488 Spider build, notified 9/15 was Status 20 and 10/5 went Status 40 it hasn’t moved yet, at all. Last dealer check was still Status 40 and no pictures. Over 5 weeks in Status 40, 8 weeks since chassis, makes no sense! Any thoughts???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I believe that the factory has become rather lax in their reporting as mine has followed a similar pattern but it would seem that, once on the production line, they would all move along at a similar rate. It strikes me as unlikely that they would pull a car off the line unless there was a problem. I am convinced that the pictures are unfortunately a thing of the past.
My order is in and I am waiting for the build to start on a 18’ 488GTB. I was really looking forward to pics of the build to keep in touch with the process! Bummer that Ferrari does not provide pics anymore .
It costs the F factory manpower and money to make and send pix; maybe it was stopped for that reason. Money counts ...
Congrats, will not be long now! I would not pay any attention to the build codes, they have little to no correlation with where you car currently is in the process (lately, historically they were more accurate and timely). When my 488 Spider started the build process I was told should be early December delivery. It is now completing the PDI at my dealer and will be available Friday! While I'm happy to be getting it sooner, the codes were irrelevant during my build (other than to indicate it was in fact on the factory floor). Jim
My opinion on pictures, most of us cannot go to the factory for a tour and to observe our car being built, the pictures are an important and enjoyable part of the total experience! Please keep the program in place!
