A lot of truth in that^^^^ I just worry that 'everyday men' are an endangered species in a society where everyone aims to be a social media 'star'. And exactly the same is true of women of course.
Having dealt with "celebrities" of mostly quite low level (they don't think so) for years, I can tell you that the culture starts early. The sense of entitlement keeps getting reinforced by all the free stuff, free travel, and being surrounded by enablers. I remember doing a CAMS medical for a TV presenter - never driven on a track before, wasn't into motorsport, but someone offered him a drive in a Porsche GT3 in an upcoming event. I actually had a big go at him over it, and he said "You wouldn't believe the stuff we get offered."

Actually the solution to this whole mess is to go back to when there was NO dual citizenship in Aus - being an Aussie citizen meant renouncing all others. Law only changed maybe 30 years ago (I haven't looked it up) and this change is why these problems have arisen.
