Seen some ambitious souls posting up F355s for over 300k in the last month or so. Not sure how you could justify that price point simply over the fact you could get Flat 12 Testarossa for less money?
Well it's not that extraordinary when you consider that 246 Dino's have been selling for 600 - 700K , more than double a TR for the past few years. 355 Manual Berlinetta's seem to be very sought after, probably a better question is ;why are they doube the price of a 360 ? Or more expensive than a 430 ? I guess it depends what sort of a car the buyer wants.
It's been the same car, now someone else is having a go at selling it at $20k less. About $100k to go IMO, the market is definitely softening. About 170 Ferraris now listed on carsales vs about 100 during the boom about 2 years ago. Same cars sitting there for ages. It's a buyers market now and the sellers will eventually meet the market
It was 100 cars in early 2014, for the past 2 years it's been sitting around the 150 mark. You have to consider that Ferrari have been selling a record number of new cars annually, during the past 3 years they have sold more than 500 cars which represents something like a 12% increase in the number of Ferrari's in Australia since 2014 so the number of cars for sale in going to increase over time. Ferrari currently have waiting lists on all new models so demand is very strong. The big price runup in recent years has been in older Ferrari and those prices have stabilised . When you look at the models listed for sale in Carsales the majority are modern cars, ie 360, 430, 458, 488 , California, 599, F12 and GTC4 Lusso. These are all models where prices movements have been modest or indeed the cars are so new they are still depreciating and these models account for more 104 of the 166 Ferrari's for sale. The number of these cars for sale is not unusual considering the number of cars in the country. If prices were softening I would expect to see an increasing number of the cars that have had major price movements appearing on the market, models such as the 355's, most 308's, 246's, Daytona's, Boxers, 250's and 330's but there are few ( if any ) of these cars for sale . The market was hot when I bought my 575 in early 2015. I found it difficult to buy a car as the market was rising quickly and they were selling as soon as listed, less than 2 were on carsales at any one time. Currently there are 6-7 and at least four of those have been for sale for 12 months. They would have sold if the market was still strong Disagree re the classics, 4 BBs listed for sale at the moment, I can't recall ever seeing more than one occasionally for sale over the past 20 years. As for Daytonas, there is one listed and it has been for sale over 6 months, inspite of so few to choose from now seeing as though a large number went OS. A few 365 variants are listed too. Rewind 2-3 years ago and they were selling like hot cakes. With regards to the new cars, completely different market all together, different buyer mindset etc Anyway, just my opinion [emoji3]
How is this compared to Porsche’s price, particularly the 911? I suspect the Chinese favoured new cars hence increased in new sales
They are two different cars one is a 97 the other a 98. I know the 97 owner and a deposit was placed on it yesterday. A manual 355 Berlinetta is a very sought after car, they don't pop up every day and owners don't want to part with them.
Hmmm not sure about this... I know someone who's just been offered a huge discount off a showroom floor car.
It will be a superseeded model - California ? Ferrari dealers don't order cars for "stock" to serve the walk in market, there are no showroom floor cars in the traditional Toyota/ Holden/ Ford dealership sense , all cars are built to customer orders so a showroom car would be a dealer demo and have been used. They turn them over after 2 years and claim an LCT exemption, hence the steep discount. They are making their normal profit, the discount is provided by the tax man ( and it's a used car ). M

Some wanker wanting to be famous by putting something stupid on the internet. Before you know it, this will be “news” on websites, and dopey current affairs shows will be clamouring to interview the “hilarious” and “clever” f-wit who put it up. Either that, or it’s PPs latest easily-reversible-modified car.
