I had beige on a 599 its very nice and shame it has such an unappealing name, there is nothing beige about it.

The off centre stripe, vents, and climate control LED display all bother me when I look at the photos. But they didn't bother me in person when at Fiorano for two days with the cars.

The stripe is central to the vents, but the vents themselves are asymmetrical - the left vent in the photo below is closer to the centre of the car than the right vent. The is caused by (1) the size of the instrument binnacle, requiring the entire vent unit to be positioned off centre, and (2) Ferrari wanting the diffuser between the two round vents to be a certain width. They could have cured / avoided this by just placing the two round vents closer together and having a smaller central diffuser. It was mentioned in Fiorano that Ferrari wanted the diffuser to be a certain width to maximise its effectiveness. Hence the off centre positioning of the unit. I have not verified this statement.

They then placed the stripe central to the vents - so off centre to the car. The climate display is also central to the vents (pushed further right because of the ergonomic placing of the media controls) but off centre to the car. So also looks on the bonk when you look at relative to the a/c controls and central bridge.

None of this bothered me in person. Thought it was all pretty awesome in person. Perhaps I was too excited to notice. But genuinely from the drivers seat it is a lot less apparent than looking dead on centre as in the below photo.

Can someone with photoshop skill create a dash without the vertical stripes on the upper and lower dash.
I’d love to see the difference.
I’m not a fan of all the contrasting stripe accents.

My problem from the drivers seat is my eyes kept looking at the stripe and trying to align it to the transmission bridge... yes, I know I have problems... ;)

Maybe we are too quick to blame the stripe It might not be the fault of the stripe :)

It could possibly be the bridge which has been creating the problem all along!

The bridge is not in the center of the car
A carbon bridge or after market carbon twig
    may solve things

This way we can have our stripe and eat it too

    LOL - nice!!

I did not go with the stripe as found it too much :) Now as its "off centre" I am glad as that would have seriously bugged me

That front cabin is a total mess. Not only they got too many things off alignment, but they added the upper dash stripe, to... certify so? They can maintain all day long that there is a reason behind the positioning of every element, but ultimately there is a blatant lack of design planning.

Colour matching the stripe to the rest of the dash kind of helps visually, but unfortunately the stripe will still be there, I believe.

Equation is simple really ......don't like, don't buy. Plenty of other cars out there with better design planning. :D

Forgive my English if something was awkward there, it's my 2nd language. Hope I made myself understandable, though.

I've asked several people at my dealer about Blu Elettrico more than once but no one's heard of it. Does anyone have a color number or some other way to describe it? Thx

It’s not an unusual colour, the factory will know. Google images it quite a few hits also.

It's three layer paint, I saw a sample but never saw a car. It looks more vibrant than most known Ferrari blue shades.

Chet, Blu Elettrico is a very bold and strong color. The pics above show it very well. It presents highlights as flares of bright turquoise and then mid level shades as a kind of deep navy and the shadow shades as almost purple. It is a very bold color. I love it. I don't care for it on the GTC4 and as much as I love the color, I think its a little too much on the F12tdf- the body shape of the car is already so aggressive, but with classic cues. I prefer a less bold color on that shape. I would not have picked it for the F12b, but I think it might work with the 812's more modern aggressive cues. I think it looks best on a V8 car such as the 488 or 458. Friends at the factory tell me they call it the "magic color" because it really is something to behold in person. I would also like to add- with any color- you have to consider the lighting in your area- for example in Southern California a color like this will look bright more of the time- whereas in an area known for cloud cover, the more purple part of the color will be present more of the time. I really love this color on a bright sunny day and you can see all the complexity.

@dcmetro , I think if you make that car above in Nero- not Daytona, just plain Nero- it would be really good!

@MalibuGuy , I think the bridge is actually down the center of the car and if not pretty close- note how it lines up with the center of the rear view mirror- this is usually something centered. In the end my criticism is really a minor point that shouldn't dissuade anyone, its just we all have our hangups and this is one of mine- I'd just do the stripe delete if possible and if not I will just remember to keep my eyes on the road- where they belong :)

I saw a TDF at the factory in this blue and it was absolutely stunning - I think it would suit the 812 as well.
