Kind of a 7/8 scale 1st gen Fisker. The front is unfortunate.

Yes that front end does look a little off. Saw this a few weeks ago. Good to see the new design is smaller as the 1st gen is HUGE.

    Next Aston Martin Vantage......

Ya'll were remarking on unfortunate fronts.....this one could really 'clean up' (the road....)

    what they say:
aston martin’s ‘vantage’ boasts pure, sculptural forms creating an athletic, predatory stance, while the minimal front and rear overhangs, muscular flanks and broad haunches express agility. new head and tail lights form dramatic new signatures giving the super coupé an unmistakable road presence. aerodynamic performance was central to the design concept — the front splitter directs airflow underneath the car, where a system of fences channels cooling air where it is needed, and also ensures the rear diffuser is fed with clean airflow. the design of the diffuser creates an area of low pressure air, while simultaneously preventing turbulence generated by the rear wheels from disrupting the flow of air exiting centrally from beneath the rear of the car. together with side gills, which have been integrated into the body surface and bleed air pressure out from the front wheel arches, and the pronounced upswept rear deck lid, the supercar generates a significant level of downforce.

like Fiskar's latest effort.........the front on this is rather unfortunate.
Did an informal survey in class yesterday, and the overwhelming verdict was thumbs down on the 'unfinished' looking front end design solution.
gotta love those PR releases for design verbiage

Yeah, the front is not good. I wonder if it would be better without the odd fold, different shaped lights, and without that weird bit of chrome that looks like a large irregular sticker. So... basically just completely different to how it is now. :D

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Remove the chrome bit with the black 'decal' and it's not too bad.

It is missing the number plate!
The rear; specifically the upswept trunk lid shape is the car's downfall with those tail lights. Looks like something they borrowed from Volvo. Give it back!!!!!

As attention-getting as it is.......is this really in our future? Seems more likely to be overtaken by something 'autonomous'.....though I suppose this works just as well autonomous as (whats the oppo?) nomous?
The future of mobility is more 'frothy' than ever! (you read it here first!)

I suspect Bangle was paid well. Hopefully so well that he can afford to live down this disjointed attempt at design. Bet he going to need all his political skills to "spin" the story that this makes complete design sense.

Have mixed emotions about this effort. Initial reaction was 'clown car'. Different for the sake of being different. But the thing that really bothers, is the 'styling' of the thing. Random patterns, reverse windshield for no apparent functional reason, odd window graphics, etc . The whole thing comes off as random and arbitrary. I have a whole class of students that are exploring autonomous/ride sharing alternatives, with all the functionality of this car's interior. Yet this screams 'look at me' for no apparent design reason other than to scream 'look at me'.

I'm sure Mr. Bangle is dead serious with this proposal. Or maybe he's being playful and winking at all the 'serious' car designers around the globe. He certainly spit on the table and has garnered everyone's attention, which he is a master at doing.

I give Mr. Bangle kudos for really trying to step outside of the cliche' design vocabularies so prevalent on today's roads. But in the end it comes off as a 'styling' exercise. Decorating the cake as it were. It's taken 50 years to kill the stigma of styling vs. design. This just set the profession back 50 years for no reason other than 'i can do this'. It takes an incredible amount of chutzpa to make this bold of a statement. It just didn't have to come out looking the way it does IMVHO.

Maybe i'll get used to it
