Exactly. They could have cured the problem by having less of gap between the round vents. Just like these. These also have the no cost option black rings.
Thanks to everyone for the help on blu elettrico. My salesman is trying to convince me to stay away from speccing my 812 in any blue. Personally, I have always been drawn to TDF blue and although I've never seen blu elettrico in person, it looks amazing.
He's been around for a long time and he told me that resale will be lower with blue. Not that resale is the only consideration, but it certainly merits discussion.
Ah, resale issues pestering... Frankly, I don't have experience but I can't imagine why resale for a blue car today would be different than a grey or black one. I admit red could resell faster, although not at a premium anymore. I see that people look for those blue and grey colours today, TDF blue being one of the most sought for.
I think your salesperson may be trying to put their personal preference on you. Besides, this is an expensive purchase. I suppose it depends on why you are ordering this car. If it is for reasons other than simply you love the 812, then by all means I would give resale a weighter consideration. But in general I think you should order what you want. Its not like you are ordering some bizarre color combination. And if resale is a consideration then if you get the car early enough in the cycle then just about any color will sell because there will be those who just have to have it. Anyway, my knee jerk reaction to a salesperson telling me this is to have them spend their money on the car. Then they can spec it how they want. You will find for any color there are lovers and haters and then those in between. The more extreme you go with a color, you will thin out the pool of prospective buyers. I say get what you love. If you are unsure on Blu Elettrico have them get you a sample.
Just to provide some background on TDF blue. I had a 2011 458 in TDF. I had my dealer sell it, it sold in one week. They have since sold it 3 times and has never lasted more than 2 weeks on the floor. Go figure.
Colour really is a personal thing. I am going Rosso 70th Anni for no other reason than I have seen it in person in Geneva as well as in natural light and I really like it. This is not a "resale red" decision as its a special paint and cost quite a bit more. I have seen some truly 'BAD" colour combinations and they sell as there is always someone who likes it. Go with what makes you happy - not your sales guy
Damn.. that silver beauty makes me see the 812 with a completely new eye... Argento N is definitely a magic color
It's such a beautiful colour!! Seen it on a few different models at the factory ....- I'm going TailerMade on my 812- literally confirming dates today at my dealership ( Jan/Feb depending on confirmed matching factory and my work/holiday dates )- it will be a combo of this Electricco blue and my own Giallo Tristrato shade ( Shergill tri strato - that I have on my TM 488- deeper with more purple hues than the regular Giallo tri strato)- don't be put off by electricco blue , yes it's bold , but so was Kojak (!!!) and that worked !! The mix of this yellow/blue should look good ( to me ) or rubbish ( to not me ! ) together with my obligatory fetish of painted oversized shields ... mmmmm mmmmmmmmm! Hopefully there's as much brave speccing of 812s as the tdf discussions inspired .
Jag that sounds very exciting! Don't get me wrong, I love Blu Elettrico, but everyone should know its a bold color. I often prefer color to a shade on a Ferrari, but there is a time and a place for everything, I think we all have different opinions on when and where.
Sorry the frog didn't get it ahaah Your car is going to be painted with a mix of blue and yellow ? so it's going to be green... or maybe you mean blue with a yellow stripe...
Interesting, I’m also doing TM on 812 - have a date in March for specifying the car. I’m heading to Graypaul early this morning to look at a couple of TM cars they just had delivered to get an idea. It’ll be my first TM car and I’m thinking a more cautious colour with a racing twist. We’ll see how it turns out. I’ve gone around the houses on the colour idea though. No doubt I’ll end up with none of the things I thought of before!

guys guys it is blu elettrico paint for the 812. The stripe is Shergill tri-strato a deeper yellow with more purple in the yellow. Large style shields which are a darker yellow than the small shields. The only question is the interior colors and of course shields embroidered on the headrests? Cool spec!
