Anybody here own or has driven a T? UK Press reports are hugely positive. I'm aware some people will just say "not a V12" but I'm interested if anybody has any first hand experience?
I drove a T a few days ago. Steering is very sharp and car feels very light and quick and easy to drive. The engine sitting behind the front axle, 2 wheel drive hence lighter weight and rear wheel steering all attributed to the great handling of the T. On paper the T shows to be a tenth slower than the 12, however, T feels quicker because the turbos generates more torque and it is lighter than the V12. As you pointed out, some will say it’s not a V12. Although the T sounds quite nice, it is hard to beat a V12 sound of a Ferrari. If you have other V12 Ferraris, not a bad idea to get a T as a daily driver.
Congrats! Very beautiful spec!! I think also the 12 gives you the 4RM (AWD) which might be appealing to some. I would go with the V12 because I think that makes it even more special, but I can see why someone might pick the V8 model. Thanks for the write up. Btw- it echoes the other write ups I've come across.
mytoys comments are spot on. I drove 20 miles in the Lusso T and it really is a good car, feels light, torquey, even fun for such a big car. It’s really whether you’ll miss the V12 sound, feel and all weather traction of the 4WD.
Sorry...I beg to differ - I found the T less sporty and not as agile (particularly) out of corners. Acceleration is good with T but not as robust as V12 ... and last but not least the sound is a different world. For a heavy car like the Lusso, I think the V8 is a second choice. Having said this, I find this also true for the Bentley family - and others do like the V8 better than V12.
I agree, Whether it does make sense or not, I always go for the largest available engine, car, boat or anything else.
The point I made in an earlier post is I feel still relevant in that as there is no tax incentive to by the V8 in the USA or Europe and as the fuel saving per annum on say 6k miles is only 6 tanks of fuel and the cost new is typically £245k as opposed to £275k plus no 4 wheel drive plus no banchee sound track plus knowing your driving the little brother I can't see the point unless you prefer the slightly more fidgety front end and positively light front end when loading up the power in the wet. Each to their own but I would be interested to see the end of first full year sales figures in Europe and the USA where I may be proved completely barking.

The luggage cover looks great in Cuoio, I hesitated to take it the same color as I will have Cuoio interior, but I was afraid there would be too much sun reflection in the rear window, so I took it in leather, but black in color.
I've driven a T in mixed weather, mostly wet, a few weeks ago. I don't have a lot to compare against, but versus my F12, the sound was severely lacking. It has power and it is easier to drive (less fidgety) and more passenger focused with the central screen. I think I'd go for the V12, if I was in the market for one.
I'll try to take more pics but there is no bothering sun reflection on my end. I had mine done in leather, not alcantara. The entire trunk door covering is in cuoio, making the trunk opening a luxurious scene. Also, having lower section and upper section in Cuoio, when looking in my mirror, cuoio cover creates continuity with the back seats color.
Thanks for the replies above. Second question, reviews by Clarkson and Harris make a big point of the Lusso's size, particularly it length. Have owners found this to be an issue, particularly in town?
Its a big car, but never feels like it when driving. More of an issue is the length at almost 5m when parking, but if you already are used to an SUV such as Range Rover, Cayenne etc you won't be phased at all by it especially if you have the front and rear cameras to aid you.
I think I'll be more worried about its width. It's almost 2m and for many roads in Europe, that's massive. Parking lots will also be an issue because of that, especially with the super long doors. For the lentgh, as Deltona said, it's as long as a mid size SUV (mid size in US terms, so that's a GLE. In Europe we would call them full size).
