I like the approach. Set the market. If everyone did it, the market moves up in price eventually. Not like they are building anymore. Most people who want one, have bought or have had one in the past. Now it is time to generate buzz in the millennial market that they are super rare, not made like this anymore and find some “whales” to jump start the frenzy. Will help F1 guys as those turkeys cannot drive a proper manual - [emoji12]. Sorted cars should be premium and move that on up. Spiders have brought the market down anyway, LOL [emoji38]

Just like the chopped TR that is now listed for crazy money...asking prices are NOT selling prices. They might as well ask for $1M.

Doesn’t change the actual value one bit.

I'm looking to sell at 98 GTB. Can someone tell me where the market should price it? She's a 6 speed, yellow over black, 2015 belt service, 20K miles, new tires, 3 owners, books and records, all stock, no stickies, no CELs, no accident, really a high quality car. I'm getting offers in the mid-60s -- seems low to me.

Why don't you list it in the classifieds? I personally don't estimate values without detailed photos and service records.

For a quick sale that sounds like more or less the right money although a bit on the low side. I'd list it for 80-85k if I were you and see where it goes.

Robb recently sold his yellow 95 GTB with 30K miles for $78K. That's a good data point for your car.

What's a 70k mile 98 F1 worth you guys think? Fresh major, good driver...sorted out. 360 pump upgrade, tubi exhaust, fabspeed test pipes with mini-catted o2 extenders (no CEL's or slow down lights).

I don't drive the car as much anymore...so I was thinking of selling it to get a nicer example. Car is in Canada and the market seems to be a little higher here.

Crazy good value. F1 cars have been taking a beating across all of the market. I just was offered a nice 360 F1 coupe for under 60k. There's a 430 F1 coupe for sale near me with 30k miles for 85k. It was hard to pass up, but I'm trying to simplify things right now and another Ferrari isn't in the cards at the moment.

I know of a GTB 355 that just sold for $88k. Nice but far from perfect car.

All I know is that if I bought Bitcons in 2013 with the money I spent on my 355 I'd have $15M today and I wouldn't care about the 355 market. :)

Lent it to Dr Who and he hasn't retuned it yet. Something about Daleks and Galiffrey.
