Looking for a Dino!

Wow, I thought everyone would have known about Ted Rutland's death on March 10, 2016 by now, and the sad coincidence that Wayne Obry of MPI died the next day on March 11, 2016. The odd thing is that Wayne Obry and MPI had just completed the purchase of Rutland's business just the week or so before (and in anticipation of his Ted's illness in order to keep the business going) and then Wayne died. Beyond terrible sadness, this illustrates a very real problem within the high-end auto restoration business in that many of the old hands are getting, well, OLD, such that succession planning needs to be addressed by more in the industry.

 

I remember Ted,
By phone he always answered his own phone with that southern draw.
If electric cars keep on the path they are, the industry will not need to address the lack of ICE parts.
