I have only just discovered this thread - brilliant!

I love looking at pictures of other people's cars almost as much as I enjoy posting pictures of mine :)

I have now worked my way through all 54 pages. Fascinating and diverse selection of interesting cars. I didn't count, but my impression is that BMW probably figured highest in the DD section. I guess I had better start posting some photos of mine.

Here are the DDs. We live in the middle of Exeter, so the Fiat is ideal for Her Indoors to get around town and easy to park in the smallest spaces. I use the Merc (350 diseasel), which is the family transport - plenty of space for people, dogs and all sorts of stuff, plus it's a well-equipped, comfortable motorway cruiser, with an adequate and very relaxed turn of speed. Done over 90K miles now and still as good as new, plus 100% reliable and only ever had to replace consumables (tyres, pads, discs).

I have always wanted a 911 and I bought this one - '89 964 C2 - in 2001, coincidentally when it was 12 years old to the day. I've done about 64K miles in it, now showing 138K. Still brings a smile to my face every time I drive it.

This one came along in 2003. 1990 Bentley Turbo R. IMO the ultimate "Flying Drawing Room"! Complete antithesis to the 911 and so compliments it well. Frequently in demand for family / friends' weddings, it is a lovely, comfortable drive, which makes me feel great every time I get behind the wheel. Also has a good turn of speed when required. Now showing 67K miles, about half of which are down to me.

2014 saw me plugging a gap in my fleet which had been empty since I sold my previous E-type when the balance of my mind was temporarily disturbed in 2005. 1963 3.8 FHC, imported from sunny California and extensively restored / re-commisioned / converted to RHD / UK spec.

That completes my current fleet - an even 10. I'll post some of the ones that got away when I have a bit more time to spare.

    Beautiful collection.

The descriptions that go with each are really neat. Thanks for taking the time to write them out.
