Quick question re: turn signal lens installation on the F355.

Recently purchased a set of Euro clear turn signal lenses from Ricambi. The lamp housing is easy to remove (just one screw and they pop out), but the wiring harness attached to the bulbs looks delicate and difficult to remove. There is a thin metal wire/clip wrapping around the plastic piece/clip. (Apologies for the bad description, and sadly I don't have a photo of the wiring housing to share, just the lenses.)

The Ricambi lamps came with bulbs, and so I just need to detach the wiring harness from the old bulbs and reattach this to the new ones bulbs already in place in the lens.

Can anyone share their experience as to how to do this? Thank you.

Simple: use a tiny screw driver to pry the wire clip off the connector and then the plugs will come apart. Or, unscrew the bulb housing from the lens and just use your old ones - you can swap the bulbs if you wish.

    Brian,

I just did this myself. You might find it easier to twist the bulb holders out of the lenses and then work on unplugging them from the harness.

Let me know when you want to get the cars together.

Great you bought it. It'll look great on your black car.
I have the mechanical ability of a 4 year old. I was able to do this myself. One screw it pops out and just unplug it. I was surprised how easy it was.
Take some pics and compare it to the old Amber ones.

Has anyone done this in NJ? Are the bulbs clear as well or do they have to illuminate in yellow to pass inspection?

FYI... I would go with LED bulbs. I got some from superbright LEDs and they work great.

I have them on my car in NJ and no inspection issues.

FYI, they only check emissions anymore in NJ and of course lic, reg and ins.

You have to use amber bulbs in your new clear turn signal lamps. Clear light turn signals, only front, were allowed in the USA (and in some other countries) until 1968.
