After over 10 years without a Ferrari, I purchased 1978 model 308 GTS #26355 (registered as 1979) and it is being delivered today.
    The particulars:
    - Original 16,369 miles, fully documented
    - Original owner purchased from Hollywood Sports Cars in 1979 and then sold to 2nd owner in 1984
    - I am third owner and will keep to the end. My final F car, my retirement present to me!
    - Very original condition, plan to maintain originality and go for Preservation classification.
    - 2nd owner took meticulous care of the this Ferrari. Rarely in the sun and never in the rain. Averaged only 81 miles a year during ownership. Would drive for servicing, smog checks, and around his business office.
    - Photo next to 308 GT4 (his business partner) was taken in early 1985
    - I will spend this winter making it all correct and check on systems.
    - I have previously owned a 76, 79, and 83 308, so I have some knowledge about 308s.

    Thanks!
How do you get the owner tag next to your avatar?

    Regards,

    Great looking car, enjoy!
I believe the owner tag requires being a member of the Owners section of the board. There are some verification requisites, but nothing overly burdensome.

I have a Bendpak midrise lift under the Ferrari.
Makes it easy to perform all service work.

congratulations on getting such a beautiful car! Mine was built exactly one year later; chassis # 30209. I've had it for almost 30 years, and still enjoy it every chance I get. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I need to know exactly what machine screw was used to install the driver side California original mirrors. Color, plating, phillips, etc.
A photo would be helpful. I haved searched all the forums.
    Thanks

I'm considering a Bendpak lift also. I'm surprised you can clear the lift with just one set of 2x boards.

That’s good to know. Maybe even get by with some 1x lumber.
