Beautiful car. Your registry says no lexan windows. I’m assuming they’re electric? I don’t see window switches? And windows are down in his pics, I do see windows up in some of your pics.
Yes, all US spec cars have electric windows. The lexan sliding windows, rollbar and 4-point racing harnesses weren’t available in the US. The window switches are located in the center console, you can see them in this pic next to the handbrake. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What was the reason for not offering those options? I can see the windows but not, really the racing harnesses.
I guess safety requirements delete the Lexan windows and the seat belts But that roll bar would have been a sweet touch and I would imagine adds to the safety
Yes and no. The rollbar adds to the safety when you wear a helmet (on track). But when you are involved in an accident on the street and don’t wear a helmet, it can be dangerous...

There's no asking price yet. But I've seen other Cornes Editions in Japan with an asking price of around 21 million Yen = 160k euro = 190k usd A few months ago, there was 1 for sale in the UK for around 170-180k GBP
Yep, used to belong to JC in New York before it went to BA in Seattle. Here it is in the snow. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Mileage 15268 km Asking price 26.500.000 Yen (was for sale for 21.9M Yen in 2016 at a different dealership) Link to registry: http://www.challengestradale.com/138733.html Link to dealer: https://www.cornesmotors.com/usedcar/detail/31178 Image Unavailable, Please Login
The white grille is certainly not for everyone. But you can easily swap it for a black grille and then you will have a limited edition of a very special car. Just keep the white grille in storage and put it back when you wanna sell the car. Imo the 25 Cornes Editions and the cars with lexan windows will be very collectible in the future. Around 1300 cars built in total. But only 25 Cornes Editions and maybe 70 or so cars with lexan windows.

Has that car actually had a sale since 2010? Or just traded between dealers? I'm amazed at some of the low asking prices on Ebay.

FYI - I looked at this recently to purchase. It’s has a checkered history that McLaren Houston wasn’t aware of. However they sent me all the records and it was blatantly obvious something bad had happened. The car was subsequently put back together at Ferrari of Houston. It’s in the service records if CNC has them...or if they provide them. Tread with caution.
Can’t imagine how pissed I’d be to drop that kind of cash and find out this stuff after the fact. This board does a great service to the community.
I negotiated to $165k but then McLaren Houston wouldn’t sell the car because of the accident history. I still think it’s a nice car but certainly not for $250k. I have all the records in a email if anyone’s interested.
I was aware of the track incident but didn't know to what extent... sounds worse than I was originally told.
There was a CS recently for sale for $350k that was wrecked on the track (at the time of accident it had ~300 miles on it); approx $40k worth of damage. I doubt seller even knows of the 'real' history as his ad states "no stories, no accidents". Doh! With a lot of these cars it's bound to happen so caveat emptor.
