Looks like lots of parts comonality with the C5/6/7 leadign credence to the idea that there will be a fe and a me car for some time. Also would indicate base price in the 60's 70's.

    Love those upswept exhaust manifolds.

Either way, it seems real and give a good indication.

The car is built much like the current one, and by all indications will be similar in size, in fact remarkably similar construction(still seperate frame, similar suspension etc) bar the engine placement and coil springs. Maybe the Lt1 will have a lttle more Hp, so 475 or 500 and weight given the cosntruction more or less the same.

I'll wait for the TT OHC lightweight version then, except a DOHC TT weighs more so i question whether we will see a sub 33oolbs let alone sub 3200bs me vette.

    Jalopnik is so lame.
The lawyers "confirmed" the mid-engine car? I'm pretty sure, after the "McDonalds" pictures (among others) that the car was CONFIRMED months ago.

Someone over at CF did a decent rendering. I agree with the comments there, the side scoop will be more integrated, but this is a good visualization of what the car might look like:

It's okay from the front bumper to the windshield. If the rest of the rendering is accurate I'll stop concerning myself with how much it sells for.

This is some guy doing a "best guess", while lacking the skill to bring it together....Attaching ANY significance to this is silly. He used the C7 headlights, the C7 hood, the C7 windows.
Did you ever see the LaFerrari "mules"? They were pretty horrendous, and that car turned out OK.

That looks like someone took a 458 and hit, kicked and poked it with an ugly stick.

Hopefully the designers at GM are better than the speculators.

I keep thinking about life in Fl in the next couple years and I'm not taking the fcars, so I've been thinking Z3 M( 2001-02), S2000(2nd gen), boxster(2013-14).

Then the corvette ME starts to come to reality and I'm getting interested, but if it looks anything like those renderings, I'd rather just have a C6 and be done. Fingers crossed it looks good.

Actually that C8 image was done 3 years ago by Camilo Pardo. You probably know one of his earlier car designs; the 2002 Ford GT.

I like the 2002 Ford Gt but lets face it -- he tried to make it look very much like the original. When you start with something that good looking and want to make it look like it, you're off to a great start stylistically.

Some Motor City Madness again like 2013 perhaps?

So Saturday January 13th 2018 at 6PM Chevrolet is having an 'off site reveal'. No mention of what they are revealing; maybe they want to talk about a new truck...

Where? I wouldn't be surprised if it's the C8. Lots of wacky chatter over on CF, obviously from people that don't get product development / lifecycles. Pretty certain Chevy will be introducing this soon, it's a 2019 model, it will be around $60K, and it's THE Corvette (FE to be phased out). Of course, I could be wrong, but that's how most companies manage a product lifecycle.

Funny, some over there do get it. More than a few have picked up on what I've said about penetrating Europe and doing 40,000 units per year. The ME is designed to penetrate there - not in serious mass quantities, but sales as of now are virtually non-existent.

I was just told something is happening on that date and no indication of what or where so far. They obviously want tighter controls and restrictions than doing something at the auto show location.
