I get that he doesn't like Ferrari, and everyone is allowed their own reasons. But him trying to "objectify" it comparing to two others cars is just so stupid, as are his criticisms.
It's simple Alejandro...Ferrari's are meant for low-class tools.

I’m happy with my 488. I am also happy with my Cali-T. I expect to be happy with the 812 when it arrives. They are all wonderful cars.

Could care less what some yayhoo says. That’s the way people get attention. Not with good content, but with extreme emotional language. It’s so predictable and boring.

Why can't Ferrari make their turbo engines sound like the F 40s ?

The whole sound thing is nonsense. I prefer the guttural, throaty growl of the 488 over others in the same class. If they intensify the same type of sound with the 488 VS, all the better.

I agree. A car under load sounds a lot better. Its like comparing a Ferrari V12 vs a Lamborghini V12. Both sounds amazing but the Lamborghini defiantly has its own sound that coundn't be confused with an other engine. 488 sounds great under load but damn that performance sounds great

People keep complaining about 488 not as fast as 720s. Ferrari is not about numbers game as these others other companies need to catch up to Ferrari’s pedigree and all they can compete on is style, numbers on paper and weight other than that they neither hold value nor will ever have the prestige of the Ferrari brand. If Ferrari was all about numbers these companies would never made it up there in the first place. One needs to understand Ferrari competes against themselves with the new version better than the previous - it’s a tradition that has kept them going. Agree or not it your opinion!

What was so great about the sound of the F40? It was just loud because of the lack of any soundproofing whatsoever.

Even though you are somewhat right, Ferrari is also about numbers and Enzo himself wanted his cars to be the fastest. Ferrari follows this to this day, as its cars are the quickest in their class when launched. It is only logical that with the passing of time they will be matched and eclipsed.

That’s true what you said that with time other companies have caught up and surpassed them.

Biggest question to me would be will Ferrari be tempted to topple the 720S in horsepower race
I know for sure it will be a better handling car as well a better driving experience . It's fun to have
McLaren's presence in this space. IMO It helps Ferrari push even further :D

if they keeps beeing first in class. what could - if i remember back quickly - be true. speciale.
    scud.
    cs.

anyhow they would have to beat:
720s (hp and 9‘s on the quartermile)
    GT2RS (Nordschleife)
ACR Extreme (downforce / plenty of us lap records (lets wait first also for the GT2RS))
    Performante (Nordschleife)

    tough functional specification document

Hearing that we wont be disappointed by the 488VS and that the "gap" to the 488GTB will be substantial both in performance and visuals - Exciting times and not long to wait :)

I’m not sure. I think Ferrari have to manage other models, where McLaren just don’t seem to care. The 488 replacement is already in planning and they will know where they want to be power-wise with that car. The GTO will be less. The new car has to sit alongside the range-topping V12 812. The price of the GTO needs to breathe life into a 2-3 year old model line. All these things dictate what Ferrari will feel the pressure to do - launch a more powerful, but not uber-powerful, car that is more track influenced, has impeccable handling and is much sharper and more visceral than the donor car. It will be lighter so no KERS, and not be too costly to develop so the price is manageable. Look at the established pattern. This formula delivers a car focused on maximising the 488 platform, not creating a whole new one out of it. It works great.

You might form the view that this means the GTO is less than it could be, but that is always true of any car. To adopt the other approach is why McLaren has such a hard job - keeping five healthy ranges sitting together is something beyond them at the moment because they mainly have to compete with numbers and drama. This means the line-up treads on its own toes and leads to confusion and depreciation. It also means that McLaren fans can always point to one product and say how it kills the competition, yet the brand still remains significantly weaker.
