The side skirts were installed in 1986. Underneath is the untouched "round belly panel". Good news there.
We will be removing the US marker lights, window tint, rear US bumperettes and tail light panel.
So far I have collected all the parts. Should be fun....

Wow. I didn't realize that they were painted underneath the fiberglass panel.

After the tail light sections were done, I located the holes for the logos as per Joe's own DD measurements that he posted (Thanks Joe!).
There was a small measurement modification to the location of "countach" in relation to "5000quattrovavloe".

I think its pretty close now....

Awesome thread! Were you able to source the original style side skirts?

The original side skirts were never removed.
The skirts I removed were aftermarket and were installed over the original side skirts.

Will you cut the steel bars wich supports the old toaster/bumpers next to the licenseplate bracket?

Absolutely. The car is coming apart now at the restorers (more pics to come).
We are going to cut those middle bumperettes and cap them so water can’t get in.

I’m looking forward to seeing the progress on the euro front bumper.

I had Maranello in Calgary do my euro conversion and I was not happy with the gap between the top of the front bumper and the hood.

Good luck on this project, the euro look is the best.

I bought my euro bumper at Ultimate motorworks,(Lamborghini Orlando) factory pt nmbr, its quality was horrible, needed lots of finish and fit,in order to be painted, also brackets/fastning requires some creativity.

Good to know! I've seen a few cars with these and didn't know they were installed over the originals. Can't wait to see them off of the car.

I had the same side skirts on my car. Paint and rockers were perfect underneath. Just had to get the lower portions of the fender flares and have them painted

you are in time for an "LP400" conversion now ;)

congrats! and very good the "round" metal panel is there and intact! that would be a major issue and cost to redo
