Very nice…looks like it’s all there. Is that the original 930/50 engine?

Turbo75, yes great find. Its quite evident many changes were done to your MY75 particularly with the interior being updated with the later door panels with the round door locking knob and dash with center vent. I did notice as well what looks to be a switch on the lower left side of the engine compartment. I've seen that on some other early turbos but not many. I would imagine its a turns the engine compartment light on when the tail is lifted. I've also seen them placed on the lower right side as well. could someone speak to that and if so, how is it wired? Does the black Hella light not have the little nickel plated "door" that is normally used to activate the light used?

Perhaps your front seats are original with the tartan fabric replaced with leather. Have you checked the date stamps on the bottom? The seats you currently have installed do have the correct '75-style round seat back tilt knobs.

Wow, those are early seats but a few months too late for your car.

FYI - the werk924 premium tartan fabric is a perfect match (top original on seats...bottom, fabric I received from them a few weeks ago).

Do you have Few history about the car ? When it went to France ? Was it running or sleeping waiting for you ?

In the case of my 77 3.0 this is where an after market alarm was triggered, if it wasnt disabled and the engine lid opened, it would go off I assume. But would love to hear others on this..

Car is in France since 1985 for sure, 1st French owner was a racing Driver Mr Pigeon he repaint the car in blue (now this gentleman is dead), second French Owner was in Bretagne I talked to him over the phone, third French owner rebuild the engine in 2000 when car has 89,000 km on odometer (I talked to him too) after that the car was with two others French owners near to Swiss border.
Car did few kilometers since 1985, nobody knew it was SCH (even me), but few weeks ago I saw a picture of my car in Ryan Snodgrass book and I said sh.. it's my car !
I have lot of papers since 1990 (invoices, MOT) and we can see with the mileage that the car did not serve much

Was it Claude Pigeon who run Le Mans 75 (n°71) ? Would be fun as he was not far from the turbo 3.0 (n°20 ) during the test.

Turbo75, I almost bought your car a few years ago, I saw advertised and enquired, but a french dealer arrived there first. Should have the photos somewhereIt was 2007 or 2008 i guess. I think he brought it to a fair I visited back then.
Will dig for the photos, the car was like it is now, when I discovered the original colour I had the strong suspect it was the press car...

    Claude Haldi (1942-2017)

1975 Le Mans class winner and 22 time starter

75-year-old Swiss driver Claude Haldi passed away on Christmas Day.

Haldi is remembered as one of the top seven most experienced drivers who competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Overall, he took the start of the big race 22 times over four decades. He first drove in Le Mans in Scuderia Filipinetti’s Ferrari 275 GTB in 1968, and his final Le Mans race was in 1993 in a Porsche 911 Carrera RSR entered by the Scuderia Chicco d’Oro.

Haldi was often unlucky at Le Mans, retiring 17 times and never scoring above 11th place overall (in 1979). He was, however, victorious in the GTX class in 1975, driving a Porsche Carrera Turbo entered by the Porsche Club Romand.

With your car being a very early 12/74 production, does it have a orange bar Porsche badge? There's always a lively debate on when the badge transition happened but I just saw this 1975 911S example on eBay with a 11/74 production date with an orange Porsche badge.

The Turbo script on my rear seat has mostly faded. the stitching on the edges ist still visible leaving the contour of the letters but most of the stiching is gone. I now want to have this redone on the original carpet. Has anyone experience with this? I removed the carpet and a quick test shows it can be stitched by hand... Could someone help me with a closeup of how the original stitching looked like, i.e. what pattern was used as well as density and size of the stitching? I have one picture from an Ebay ad but would like to see more before attempting the refurbishment....
