I would guess it is due to several factors. First, as you suggested, F-car owners may just be more mature, chronologically and emotionally. Second, you probably already stick out like a sore thumb in a Ferrari in most places, so no need to bring further attention to yourself with triple digit MPHs. "No I'm sorry officer it must have been the other guy in town with a beige Ferrari that was seen hooning it up on the back roads!" ;) Third, and likely the saddest and truest, a lot of people just don't put a lot of miles on their F-cars. Whether it's family commitments, fear of depreciation, multiple fun cars in the garage vying for attention, the drama surrounding parking, working lots of hours making bank to afford these cool toys, etc. I can tell you that in ~20 months and 11 K miles of driving our Cali all over the Metroplex, apart from FCA events & the like, we've seen one other F-car in the wild while we were driving our own. Admittedly, most of the miles are less populated back roads in DFW, but apart from that - nada, zilch, zero, cipher. :(

I got nailed in my last drive in my old Maranello. I had just finished a run on my favorite back country road (I ain't gonna say the name), when I made the mistake of doing a u-turn and rerunning the route. After all, it was my last drive. Son-of-a-gun nailed me right after I exited a fast left hander and was ballin that jack in fourth gear. The V1 started screaming as I was thinking about fifth. Deputy wrote it down to 80 mph because he said, "I had fast reactions."

True in my case. While I’ve driven a 458 to 160mph in Maranello, I’ve never had my cars above 80 here in the states. There’s no place to go that fast in DC, and even if you tried the potholes would kill you. But in surrounding VA and MD, the troopers have no tolerance for that kind of speed.

F car owners have better tech to jam radars?

Eons ago, I was in Houston and happened into an electronics shop. I made a comment to the fellow with me about radar jamming. Fellow behind the counter then said he would give me a schematic for a radar jammer and sell me the parts. Sold! Later that day, I am so giddy about my new purchase that I share the story to a stranger on a flight to Dallas. The gentleman lets me know that is one of three Texas State Highway Commissioners. Imagine that! I later noted that he became director of the Federal Highway Administration.

Do these work? Can the cops tell you're using a jammer?

Jammers are so rare, I doubt any cops have training that would help to identify usage.

My jammer was rather crude, with a switch to toggle between highway and city, 50 and 25 MPH respectively. Suspect that I once triggered a trucker's ticket of 50 MPH entering a city. The drawback includes needing one transmitter for each band, both forward and reverse. The transmission power only needs to be more than the radar echo off your car.

Laser jammers are another topic, zero experience here.

Radar jammers don't work, require a FCC "class D?" license. Far more $$ than eating a ticket, on a Fed level. Bring money.

Laser Jammers work if jamming to kill signal. However, need lots of mounting spots, and are cause for confiscation of unit in many states, which needs to be hard installed, hence car impounded.

Radios can be very helpful, used since 70's and the 55.

Awareness, a great detector mounted as high as possible (V1, some new players with GPS for fixed targets, BT add ons to mod V1's (I'm a committed electronics user)) are the best tools, on road you know, with skills more than credit is only way to seriously motor anywhere.

13/20 are bikes, highest top end was 181, next 2 fastest 160. That's not difficult at all. Just don't be stupid. Big place, Texas.

    Who is BT?

BTW on a recent drive on 1-10 to Florida any electronics would have been worthless. It was bumper-to-bumper in the left lane at 85 mph for 500 miles.

Bluetooth. V1 has BT dongle available. Can change scan frequencies and add/delete channels, add hard targets and gps location, shut bands off completely, silence stupid GM lane signals etc.
Doesn’t change skills needed but levels field a lot.

I would think most Ferrari owners are past that stage in life of having something to prove. Not surprising that most were bikes. When I was young as soon as I got on my crotch rocket I think all my brains drained out. I don't believe there was ever a day I owned my bikes that I didn't hit 100 mph. Glad those days are far far behind me.

Add waze into the mix on top of V1 and paying attention and you are good to go. Love AMG cars for high speed road trips. Can cover massive amounts of pavement without a sweat and fairly “low key”.

Funny thing. Got pulled over around the holidays on hardy. I had 2 drinks. Normally I Uber if having a drink, but I was visiting friends in the woodlands so I drove. Truly held myself to 2 drinks for this very reason. I set cruise control at 65. I never set cruise. Got pulled over. Said I was doing 8o. Did not want to respond with “zero chance I was going 80 because cruise was on 65 due to 2 drinks.” He let me off with very quick warning. Think they were trying to catch people over limit.

A college class assignment (back in the late 70s) was to build a device to jam/confuse police radar. We could design any type of device, coating, electronics etc. Even though this was an EE class, we weren't required to build an electronic device.

Most of the class immediately jumped on electronic jammers. However, the some of the class came up with other "innovative" mechanisms - such as stealth (rubber) paint, lowering the car RCS, etc.

One of the funniest, which also turned out to be fairly reliable, was to put a giant metal propeller on the front of the car and spin it at high velocity. Giant as in 6ft diameter. The theory was that the spinning blades would reflect the radar signal off in other directions, rather than back to the gun. If any part of the signal did get to the gun, then it would be inaccurate as the spinning blades added or subtracted velocity to the radar signal. It was a great solution, but not really practical. imagine driving a car/truck with a giant spinning prop out front. That would be a fairly good give-away that the vehicle is attempting to foil the radar. Also, it only worked head on. Didn't work when shot from behind, as the radar could get a solid lock on the vehicle itself.
