    IMO
308's have cooler interiors- instrument levers and all- pure old school!
328's have better looking exteriors- the benefit of no black bumpers- and nicer engine bay views
    ABS wheels visually a drawback
    GTB's are sleeker
GTS's are more open, inviting & involving
Euro models always look a little better!

Ha! This 2009 thread predates my ownership of --heck: interest in! -- a Ferrari 308.

In scanning the 205 posts, it is heartening to see that people love the cars they have. All 3x8s are immensely beautiful and only a real butcher could spoil the splendor.

As for me, like everyone, I am convinced I have the most beautiful of the lot; a 1983 GTS QV. I love all the black on the 83 QVs; the old-school black A pillars, all the big black louvers, the black basket handle. I gave the car a rhinoplasty (pushed the bumpers in) and it now looks perfect. Yes, its true, my car would win the Most Beautiful 3x8 contest.:)

The side indicators on US models look like they came off a box trailer. Something about US regulations I guess, 70s and 80s Jaguars were the same.

    Nice pic.

I am always amazed at how much smaller GT4s really are than how they look in photographs: they are cool little cars. Equally amazing is how much larger 246s really are compared to how they look in photos; they are roughly the same size as GTS/GTBs.

As I always say, the bests looking 308 is not a 308: it's the 208 turbo early 1982-1985 model (the not inercooled one). This because it has as factory standard all this features: just Euro version with small bumpers, old style interiors with chrome levers, QV seats, black venting grills, deep front spoiler, rear wing, NACA side air intakes, additional front air intakes, rear splitted bumper (like the Dino 246 one) with mid venting grill. And (as factory standard too), a fantastic exhaust sound and a fantastic looking engine. There is no game, in my opinion.

    ciao

That's because the average 3x8 is well above average.

84 or 85 GTB for me. I like the Q.V.'s best out of all the lineage and even though there are only subtle diffrences prefer the 84/ 85 QV. over the 83.

Can you tell me anything about those extra gauge pods either side of the main dash panel?

Its the water temp on the left and oil pressure on the right. Where they were in the centre dash is now got a boost gauge and intake temp. It was fitted on the car on purchase
