Better start is that it is right hand drive so UK will obviously get all the early cars !!!!!!

Wow I hadn't noticed! Well now I'm a bit puzzled as RHD cars are always later production. Thoughts?

I'm sure it will not work like that but I hope Ferrari are monitoring.
One of the early 812 test cars was rhd but we are still waiting for first customer delivery.

It looks like it has a LaFerrari air brake on the back.......it will probably need it too

Although my initial comment was tongue in cheek it might make sense that UK does get early allocations of 488 VS to tie in with announcement of the UK 488 Challenge race series.Probably putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 but you never know.

I really love if it will have it, time for simple passive spoiler is ended, let's see same real aero presure on that rear, especially given the serious power boost and torque of the 488 often causes issues on that poor rear tyres :)

From what I can see in this pic, I'm already in love with the car, beautiful mix of aggressiveness and road racing spirit

Do you think they will propose these as real option wheels? Remember me of the Pagani Zonda Tricolore, gorgeous matching :)

To me it looks like a more pronounced spoiler, a la Speciale. Nothing more. There's even a brake light there..

I just can’t see where an active brake could go.. the air vents at the back would have to go .. which would mean a complete redesign of the back which I just can’t see happening. The picture shown previously looks authentic and shows the new front end bigger air intakes but not much else.. I hope there is more to the 488vs than that.. But I regret it may just be increased turbo and output and lighter weight and some slight aero tweaks rather than anything radical like an aero brake or kers..

And Ferrari did a great job, NO really normal picture and no real informations found there way out. Well done...

He published a forbidden picture, as it was taken inside the Ferrari factory. Hope Ferrari won't ever find who take that picture, or they will fire him.

In any case, great shot with the definitive car (very nice car indeed)

They are a real option on the 488gtb already. Just not that styling obviously

You're likely right, personally think that a more probable solution is more pronounced active spoiler with new patented active section internal flap blown spoiler

Ferrari will surprise a lot of us, this would be more than just a speciale version, will be in between speciale and tdf concerning the changes in bodywork, 450 kg downforce @ 250 km/h and 1.20.5 @ Fiorano.

True! Funny that I randomly chose gold wheels for my sketch.

The front is very much like the spy pics of some weeks ago and seems confirmed that there is a vent low down in the front bumper ahead of the front wheel well.

The hood with openings was partially visible in the spy pic and I think will be very similar to what I drew: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145757435/

As for the rest, it looks like they kept all the sheet metal unchanged so no radical makeover. The quarter window looks to be vented again (like 458) though covered here.

The rear quarter looks unchanged except for the splitter in the cooling opening moved up. This gives more cooling to inter coolers, but remaining slit above the splitter doesn't look like it can do much.

Thank you Ingegnere. Would you make any minor changes to your sketch or more or less happy as it is?

Maybe, but usually they don't release pictures inside the factory. I do think it has been taken by a Ferrari worker or from an outside firm that was working there at the moment

Well, as you pointed out already, this is not a tdf-type LE, so all the visual mods, I think, will be limited to the plastic bits, i.e., bumpers, plus hood, quarter window and duck spoiler, which I captured already. So "adjust mentally" ;-) and ignore sheet metal changes (GTO vents), aerodynamically optimized quarter scoop and flap in front of rear wheel. This last area looks unchanged, in fact.

Overall, a bit disappointed with the level of changes but not unexpected and in keeping with previous specials and probably with an already built up demand.

Just hope weight and performance numbers will surprise.

Guys, pay attention, Ferrari knows its job and many things that are changed in 488 vs are not visible clearly on these camouflage spy pics, I'm ready to be surprised. Remember the last models had not apparent major tweaks looking at spy shots.
