Ye knows a lot more than you me thinks! No GTO my friend - was never doing to happen if you were following the old saga. The force is strong in this regard.
Agreed, which is why I amended comment. I think cv and hp are different but that may just be in UK as the difference is between metric and Imperial. Maybe someone better informed than I can enlighten me.
Good to see the emphasis on weight savings, hope it will be significant. Would be nice too of the wheels could be painted silver or other. Seems that unlike on the 458 Specials, the center vent in the hood is an S-duct, so no cooling--just a flow-through to reduce air to the underside of the car. I expect the cooling ducts will remain at the edges of the hood. The little slit remaining above the increased size cooling intake on the rear quarter will probably now feed the underside of the rear spoiler and hopefully they will lose the cheap looking black plastic surround adjacent to the taillights.
My dealer said they will see it in the afternoon. If they have divided groups for different sessions for different times, that I don't know
Please, please do not compel me to have 'black holes'. Surely no reason why not unless wanting to show they are carbon.
This has been a great thread to follow over recent months and now here we are with some real facts which is great! However, with all those carbon body panels and wheels I guess we should prepare ourselves for a serious increase in pricing versus the GTB.... another great way for Ferrari to dramatically increase the profit yield on every unit built. Given we have had many guesses already at the new model BHP, how about a little game to guess the price increase over GTB... I’ll start us off at 30% over base GTB price (in UK anyway).....!! CV (in Italian) indeed, which is the same as PS (in German). Here is a break down: https://www.carthrottle.com/post/whats-the-difference-between-bhp-hp-kw-and-ps/
Well the 488 from this month is now 197 or thereabouts so I’m guessing base price 230 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Base of £275k in the U.K.? I also think they will use price now as a bit of a differentiator as they know the market, us, will pay whatever, provided they produce the goods. Also, I bet that 7,500 rev limit in the lower gears is history.
I Going to be a very expensive car , at least 250 gbp more like 275 as Tim suggests , so 300 plus with a stripe and extra carbon
The difference between standard cars and sport special series keeps widening from generation to generation 488 Sport Special seems to be the widest ever gap over the standard car so price has to reflect as such - Bravo Ferrari
Porsche set the bar with the GT2RS and showed whats possible ito price gap. In a way its a "good" thing as it may keep speculators at bay and make sure the cars go to enthusiasts
Well actually if you look back, the 599 GTO was £300k base compared to about £200k for the standard model. And people thought that was insane in 2010 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
