True - again does not matter as it "is what it is". Typically here in Australia and my dealer in Europe both put price (subject to confirmation) on contracts. More important is whether I can get a car
Surely someone has slightly more information??... It would absolutely suck big time if all was hidden until its official launch!
No way would they have got dealers from around the world to show them a few screenshots and no way would they all keep schtum. Logical deduction, they haven't seen it? Maybe it's served with desert?
I'm sure they know plenty and have seen it... I was just referring to the rest of us who continue to suffer.
Maybe their mobile phones have been confiscated until they leave tomorrow? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Dealers have seen it. But no further technical info was given during the presentation https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145775817/
While they may not be able or allowed to give “facts”. Did they share any opinions? “It is amazing, you will love it!” “Looks unreal, sounds ridiculous!” “Bad Ass!” Etc......... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like this render better Our F dealer was in Maranello ... and got no name .... Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is usually not possible to get objective opinions from dealers even though I trust my dealers thoughts. He didn't sound extremely overwhelmed or as he fell in love. He said it is "different and looks very mean"
I don't know. I heard it's amazing so all down to the eye of the beholder. Different is a very good start, we want that, mean is also good as suggests purposefulness and function, so I am still hopeful it will be something special to look at. I know it will be special to drive.
People also said the same thing about the Speciale when it first came out and criticized it's very aggressive design. Now it's considered a great design. Surely the same initial thoughts will apply for the 488 VS and in time, people will come to love it. Ultimately, how it drives will be the measuring stick in making it an all time classic.
Congratulations to Ferrari PR. Great drip feed of image and a little information along with excellent confidentiality when requested. Looking forward to further "leaks" and finally the reveal at Geneva.
No question that the manner in which he said it could have very different meanings. Words are just words on the internet. Can't measure the inflection in his voice or the smile on his face when he spoke. I'm hoping he said "IT'S DIFFERENT AND IT LOOKS VERY MEAN !!!"
Not really surprising, based on the pics of the camo car from yesterday--pretty much WYSIWYG. Still recognizable as a 488 with the most evident change being the aggressive nose. Besides, from the many years of following reveals, most commentators couldn't describe a car or its design features if it was sitting right in front of them, let alone from memory. Desirability will really depend on how far they evolved the 488 platform for reduced weight and better performance, feel and sound.
Dont shoot the messenger but: 1. 488 ownership is the first hurdle - again maybe VIP's don't need to jump this hurdle 2. All allocation done and "sold out" within "a very short period of time" - Sorry cant be more specific but its VERY short!!! 3. Dealer puts forward the name and Ferrari vets them
