I agree what does it say you guys have 98 pages of posts on the 488 GTO thread and I have some interest but truthfully 98 pages is to much is this the car
Just a heads up on photos - leaked or otherwise. The copyright belongs to the photographer period. Be very mindful when reposting other people's renderings or photos especially when you alter them and place YOUR name on it. In other words it's illegal here in the U.S. and the U.K. If you do that to someone who cares, you will be at the receiving end of a very nasty letter or worse a lawsuit. Always always always give credit.
I recently discovered your website ferrarihub.com, and I have to tell you that your podcasts are great. I really enjoy them. Keep up the good work.
I have some high up ferrari friends (owners) who will get the very first ones. Unfortunately, the ones who do performance driving only use proper race cars. I will rely on their opinion 100% of whether the car is worth it to get (I'm sure it will be). Driving ferrari's on track days is a very lonely feeling unfortunately.
Seems like we go through the same stages each time a new car is close to release ... First, the speculation and guessing Then, some leaked info, most of which is fake news Followed by some renders, which are usually way off but sometimes pretty close And then a grainy poorly lit spy shot, followed by “its not enough of a departure from the current car” to “its too much of a departure” to “it isn’t special enough” or “its too tunerish” or my all time favorite “the ass end looks like a uterus!” And then the reveal and the opinions are all over the place. And then the reviews and its the best Ferrari V8 ever The car will be brilliant. Looks evolve. Would Pinin have stuck to the same design ethos forever? Based on one bad pic it would be really hard to get excited. And if the base price was 400k they’d still sell out. And yes most would pay the extra 30k for the carbon fiber rims because “resale value” or whatever without even thinking. Once the reviews start rolling in the lust will be in full force. Speciale was brilliant by every measure, but hardly beautiful. The F12 is beautiful ... the TDF is just different, and that is the point! But then again, I find the 812 to be beautiful also so what do I know? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Surprisingly no more pics have been leaked at all. I'm under the impression that the alleged pic from over 12 hrs ago was indeed also a photoshop. The real thing is coming off course but I believe someone is taking advantage of our eagerness for a photo.
I am hearing (could be wrong) that it may have exit vents like the 812 in a similar position. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We need more leaked pictures NOW!! who just takes one picture........there has got to be more from whoever leaked it.
I very much doubt he will be leaking again. I suspect he woke up this morning to find himself sharing his bed with a horses head.......
exactly....you see where I'm coming from..with iphone and droids you can snap 20 pics in seconds...this " may be" a rogue...I'm excited to see more though
My dude had your pic and said it was similar - hence why my comment Again could be throwing me off guard
Overall, I liked the car very much from the leaked photo we have all seen and I'm sure the back of the car will also look very nice and mean. I am just not so happy with the little "French mustache" Maybe it will look better if it is painted same as the body color. Biggest letdown for me is the use of ancient 458 side mirrors. I don't know why they still insist using these mirrors. IMO, this car will look sooo much better if they have used GT3/GTE carbon mirrors. I will definitely look for ways to install these mirrors on this car as soon as I get one.
Its posting pics like these that are bursting a lot of bubbles IMO. All we have is an out of focus spy shot but it appears it is the mule car with the dipped hood. See posts #1501 and #1547 and start the check list. The LE changes are also listed later in the thread. You can get a whole lot out of boost on these types of cars for little/no new effort. Devil is in the details which we will no doubt poor over but same old same old from a design perspective until the final LE version. Tim is correct in that the Speciale will drive great but not dollar per dollar and all the hype (MHO) not worth near the price.
At a minimum they should have put these mirrors on the car, however that's a detail an accountant may not ever notice....
its funny........I love the F12 tdf but I do in fact remember the mixed feelings about its looks when it was released. I got looking at pictures of it yesterday and started to see how people could be a little put off at first sight with all its zero features considering how far removed it is from the standard F12 which is a GT car. So thats how I feel about the 488 GTO. We have to see the whole thing and possibly give it sometime to sink in. Even the LaFerrari took some heat for its looks when it came out but look at it now........its gorgeous!! Heres some food for thought when think about the recent history of Ferrari performance cars since 2013 till now - 458 Speciale: Amazing, The final NA V8 goes out on a high note - F12 tdf: Absolute brute harkening back to the old V12 Ferrari days showing front engines are still viable. - LaFerrari: "How can they ever top the Enzo"?.......thats how!! even their regular production cars - 488 GTB: 2017 Motor Trend Drivers car of the Year.......nuh said! nah.......i'm not worried about the 488 GTO!
