Ok - was interested to see if they were after-market pods, or one offs - sounding like one off probably.

Ah - I misinterpreted what you meant by "fitted on the car on purchase" - I read that to mean was on the car when you purchased it, but sounds like you had them installed on purchase - thanks for clarifying.

Imho the best looking 3x8 is the early European vetro or steel 308GTB with 14 inch rims and single exhaust. Color doesn't matter...

Actually all the GTS’s up to 83 had that style and even the recessed portion of the targa bridge joining with the rear quarter louvers is black. I think it allows the roof panel to blend in better and not appear to stand out as much like a separate entity as it does on the 84’s and 85’s. Of course my car is an ‘83 but that in no way influences my opinion.

Let’s not even get into black or body colored rockers.

Are there any 208's in America? I know they weren't sold here but I was wondering if anyone ever imported one to America to have here.

At least 70% are still in Italy, where all were sold when new. But many now spreaded across Europe. One will fly very soon to Japan. One is in the Chicago area and another one (the intercooled second version, the 328 like one, a GTS) is owned by James Glickenhaus son and is somewhere in the US.

    ciao
