Looking at purchasing a 1996 355 Spider. Looking over invoices and saw the following numbers:

    1.200 lbs.
    2.200 lbs.
    3.210 lbs.
    4.200 lbs.
    5.210 lbs.
    6.200 lbs.
    7.200 lbs.
    8.205 lbs.

The test were performed by Bruce Crall who is well none in the Ferrari circle from what I understand. He is unavailable until tomorrow. Are these good numbers? If not, how bad? Thanks

That is excellent. Signs of rebuild? Or Low mileage, low use and engine time. 180’s is average for most vehicles of our vintage with normal use.

Look good. Was the test done hot or cold?

They look fine. A leak down analysis would be more telling.

Not necessarily. With those compression numbers, I would just forget the leak down and move on.

I agree. But, it's also important to observe the raise of the compression and not just the final numbers - that is often overlooked.

And to the OP, do you mean Brian Crall (you stated Bruce Crall). If it's Brian, listen to his recommendation.

Whatever Brian tells you will be great advice - you are in good hands.
