You won't get that information from the book as it is a register of members/past members cars rather than every single car that ever landed in Australia via the dealers. I suspect the only person who might be able to provide the accurate information is Len Kench who worked for the importers in that period. I recall him saying that he had compiled a register of all Ferraris imported while he was there; but it was a long time ago now. He's on Linkedin FWIW.

If you wanted a guesstimate of the numbers, Ferrari was importing about 130 odd cars a year back then with circa 80% being V8's. The V8 range wasn't extensive back then being all variants of the 360 Model. So extrapolating that, the 360 was made from 1999-2004 and Australia was getting circa 80% of 130 cars = 104 cars per year. Total imported is therefore 104 x 5 (years) = 520 cars. Probably need to wind that back a bit because the car arrived in mid to late 1999 in initially limited numbers and sales would have tailed off at the end of the production run. My guesstimate would be about 450 of the various 360 Models were originally delivered to Australia. I'll bet that's not far off the correct number if you manage to obtain it.

Err John ALL 308 GTS's are carb.
    After that were 308 GTSi's .
Then they went to 308 QV's.

These are the numbers I came up with in the new register.

Quite the opposite I'm afraid. The great majority of V8 sales have always been the Pop Tops and the 360 was no exception. My educated guess would be 75% of 360 deliveries were Spiders. The F1 gearbox was almost a universal fitment, at least 9 out of 10 cars were specc'd with it. I had a bit of an interest in all this at the time because I bought a new 360 manual coupe in 2001 and saw what came through the Melbourne dealer. Given the Spiders followed the Coupe debut by about 6 months, maybe 50 Coupes came before Spider deliveries began. So 75% of 400 cars is 300 X 360 Spiders of which 9 out of 10 were F1's. So at least 270 of the F1 360 Spiders came here, possibly more.

All good thanks again in a country this big I’m not likely to see another at the traffic lights any time soon I’ll keep digging around it’s very interesting finding out as much detail about the car it’s part of the enjoyment I find, I can’t imagine the thrill of picking up a brand new crisp 360 that would be a day to remember, good for you cheers Adrian

Indeed. How much longer can they get away with runout specials? What amazes me is the number of people who ordered "ordinary" 488's, just so they get the right to order a 488 Speciale.

It was a "tick the box" moment for sure as it was my first new Ferrari. Quite a unique and highly optioned spec too, rather bright to say the least :p

Gone long, long ago now. Sold it in 2004, replaced it with a 360 N-GT Michelotto and an F50.
Should have kept the F50 *sigh*

Yup, I refuse to play the "qualifying" game so I doubt I'll be buying any new Ferraris anytime soon. Ferrari did me a favour in reality as I would never have experienced how good the opposition has become if Ferrari had continued to sell me the models that I wanted to buy.

Brilliant mate, you should take those blinkers off and get your bum into some of the oppositions cars. Ferrari doesn't give a toss about you, so why the blind loyalty?

I think Ferrari still make the best engines; but in every other category McLaren are superior. My only complaint about my 675LT Spider is the turbo lag and its honestly the only meaningful thing that needs improvement. My previous 458 Speciale wouldn't see which way this thing went, it's an absolute weapon and I just love it.
