I came across this photograph on Pinterest-not intending to tread on anyone's copyright-, of what is apparently Gary Webb's better known as Gary Numan's 512BB. I recall seeing him, presumably in this car driving Fairoaks near Cobham in Surrey were he kept his aircraft-Numanair- which were distinctively finished in black with red lines. I always thought it was a 365 GT4 BB but in an article I found does refer to his 512BB.I recall the car was metallic blue with a light interior, as when the car was coming towards me on a slight downhill stretch of road he was framed by the windscreen and looked pale against the cars interior. I think the car might have originally been a Maranello demonstrator ,indeed they have lent him the car and he subsequently ordered one,so it difficult to be certain what colour the car is in the photograph. Does anyone know which car this is? Image Unavailable, Please Login
It appears that there is a NACA duct hiding in the shadows/reflections. This, and the tail lights make this a 512 BB.
1990 Brands Hatch. Is that F40 going round the outside of the 330 GTC. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Er no ! The GTC turns out to be going up the inside. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have problems finding pictures of the Ross Hyett car and Mark has some good ones there. The small amount of information there is online regarding those races usually says how much the F40 struggled on road tyres. Did he always have to start from the back of the grid too, or was that not always the case? Here is a picture I have of the car, taken from a fashion magazine article in about September 1990: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wonderful photo that 330 could give a few of the more modern ones a good run for it She is now retired in Bamfords collection -- returned to the original Roman Purple ( not the greatest looking colour imo)
Princess Diana being shown around the Ferrari stand at the Motor Show on 17th October 1991. 348 TB, F40 and a Mondial Cabriolet.
